Each generation of the Xiaomi Mi Band fitness bracelet has become a hit on the market, and there is every reason to think that the Mi Band 7 will also be very popular with users. And the first details about it have already appeared: the device was lit up in the proprietary Amazfit Zepp application.
In the Zepp database, the device is called Xiaomi Smart Band 7, it corresponds to a pair of catalog numbers: M2129B1 and M2130B1. Their identification numbers in the CMIIT database are 2022DP1794 and 2022DP1805, respectively. About the same story was with Mi Band 6. Different numbers refer to different models: one without NFC support, the other with support.
The screen resolution of Mi Band 7 is 192 x 490 pixels. This is slightly larger than the Mi Band 6 (152 x 486 pixels). But this does not mean that the pixel density will increase, just the screen will increase slightly in size.
Mi Band 7 will support the Always-On Display function, GPS is mentioned in the localization files, so this generation of Mi Band, apparently, will finally acquire a GPS receiver.
With Mi Band 7, the Xiaomi fitness bracelet can return the Smart Alarm function, the meaning of which is to start waking up the user half an hour before the set alarm time. Smart Alarm appeared in the first Mi Band, but due to user complaints, it was removed in subsequent versions of the bracelet. And now Smart Alarm is back. As well as the function of setting a digital password, which was in Mi Band 4.
Mi Band 7 will have two power saving modes: simple power saving and ultra power saving. Thus, the maximum autonomy of the device will be higher than that of its predecessor, albeit by disabling some functions. The firmware of the fitness bracelet has 303 emojis and 126 notification icons – the same number as in the Mi Band 6 firmware. Interestingly, according to the source, Mi Band 7 will run Zepp OS, which means that the company can say goodbye Mi Fit app.
So far, these are all the details about Mi Band 7. The official premiere of the novelty may take place in late spring or early summer.
