The smallest and cheapest Hyundai crossover named Casper
Sources report that Hyundai is preparing to announce its smallest crossover, spy photos of which began to appear on the web a few months ago.
Earlier it was reported that it passes under the working index AX1, and now the official name has been declassified. The car will be called Hyundai Casper. The exact dimensions of the crossover have also become known, which will be 3595 x 1595 x 1575 mm.
The car will be built on the K1 platform, which is designed specifically for the markets of developing countries. It will be offered with a 1.2-liter i10 Nios gasoline engine producing 83 hp, a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 100 hp. and a 1.2-liter diesel engine with 75 hp. The drive will be exclusively front.
It is expected that the new product will become not only the smallest Hyundai crossover, but also the cheapest. The basic version of Hyundai Casper should cost about 10 thousand dollars.
Hyundai Casper production should start in September. Initially, the novelty should appear in South Korea.

Rostec introduced an electric motor for drones

Roselectronics Holding, a member of Rostec, presented a synchronous electric motor for a wide range of applications at the Army-2022 forum. Due to its low weight, efficiency and reliability, the development can be used to create helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
Among the advantages of a synchronous motor over an asynchronous one are a greater power and efficiency factor, a wider range of speed adjustment, high operational reliability, and better weight and size indicators. The mass of the product is 3 kg, the engine, developed by the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant of the Ruselectronics holding, can be used in helicopter-type drones.
“Our UAVs have proven themselves well in real combat conditions. This technique is also in demand in the civilian market. Now the industry faces a big and important task of import substitution of many components, including power plants. I am sure that the new domestic compact electric motor will help UAV developers in solving this problem.”, – said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
Synchronous motors are also used in industrial ventilation and air conditioning systems, pneumatic systems and motor vehicles.

In terms of appearance, the new items, although they differ from the current models, the design continuity is still traceable. Now Geely has presented images of the Geometry G6 and Geometry M6 interiors, and here everything is done completely differently: the minimalism of the interior space makes the interior similar to Tesla electric cars.
The salons of the G6 and M6 are completely identical. The two-spoke steering wheel was replaced with a three-spoke one. The digital instrument cluster has grown in size: instead of a 5-inch screen in the A and C models, it is 10.2 inches. The center console screen has grown from 12.3 inches to 14.6 inches. The climate control unit, central tunnel and door cards have also changed. The selector for switching driving modes is located on the steering column lever. In general, most of the keys have been removed from the front panel. The stretched air ducts and the “emptiness” on the central panel make the interior of the Geely G6 and M6 similar to the interior of a Tesla car.
Alas, there are no new details about the technical part. It is assumed that both models will be equipped with traction batteries with a capacity of 54 kWh (430 km range) and 70 kWh (600 km range). The car will be driven by an electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp.

Among other things, one of the most important moments of the mission will be the return of the ship to Earth. Orion will not just return, but will enter the upper atmosphere twice. The first entry will be partial with a further return to a higher orbit, after which a full re-entry and landing will follow. Thus, NASA will test the ship for strength.
As for the rocket, once launched, the SLS will be the most powerful rocket currently in use. It is capable of launching up to 95 tons of cargo into the reference orbit, and in the future, after modifications, the figure can be increased to 130 tons. It is capable of delivering 27 tons to the moon.
NASA expects that the upcoming launch will attract a huge number of people to the beach near the spaceport. Cocoa Beach city officials estimate that between 100,000 and 200,000 people will come to watch the launch.
