The screens of Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro are completely “opened”: 120 Hz mode is added at a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels

Meizu has officially confirmed that the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro screens already support a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz at a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels.

Meizu’s head of marketing, Wan Zhiqiang, said the company’s engineers worked overtime to implement this feature. Finally, the firmware is ready for release. He confirmed that smartphone users will receive the corresponding update as soon as possible.

Smartphones Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro are equipped with Samsung AMOLED screens with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, which support an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a polling rate of a touch layer of 240 Hz. Only at the time of the release in the maximum resolution, the refresh rate of the screens was reduced to 60 Hz. When the 120 Hz mode was activated, the resolution decreased.

Then the representatives of Meizu confirmed that the developers deliberately abandoned the simultaneous use of the maximum resolution and frequency of 120 Hz, since this increases power consumption sharply, which will negatively affect the operating time of the device without recharging, while the heat generation of smartphones also significantly increases.

However, after a wave of criticism, Meizu promised to fix this point. The developers have also posted a screenshot that confirms that the mode is already working.

The week began for the main cryptocurrencies of the world with a rise in price and the establishment of new price highs, and ends with a fall, and quite noticeable. Over the course of a day, Bitcoin loses about 4.5% of its value, and as a result, for 1 BTC now they give not $ 66,000, but about $ 60,500.

After Bitcoin began to fall, Ethereum was still holding, but its rate had already gone down too, dropping below the psychological mark of $ 4,000. Analysts believe that such a fall in cryptocurrencies is due to their sell-off on the part of investors – they are fixing profits against the backdrop of a strong growth in value that has been observed since the end of September. This means that after the current correction, Bitcoin may rush to new heights, but whether altcoins will follow it is a big question.

Interestingly, against the background of a decrease in quotations of other cryptocurrencies from the Top 10, Solana feels very confident: it grew by almost 6% per day, and by almost 25% in a week.
