The results of reviews of processors and video cards to a certain extent depend on the selected software. Therefore, it is always useful to look at some average indicators. The authors of 3DCenter analyzed 16 reviews of the new Ryzen 9 7950X3D and it turned out that the new product is on average 3.8% faster than the Core i9-13900K and 2.7% faster than the Core i9-13900KS in games.

The difference with the Ryzen 9 7950X already reaches about 10%, and the Ryzen 7 7700X looks the best, which is slightly more than 10% behind, but at the same time half the price. But what really impresses AMD’s new flagship is energy efficiency. For all its power, the CPU consumes about half as much as Intel’s flagships! Even the Ryzen 7 7700X consumes significantly more, and only the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is on the same level.

True, we should not forget that the Ryzen 9 7950X3D costs more than any other CPU in this class, which for many may be more important than energy efficiency. At the same time, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has not yet entered the market, which will be significantly cheaper.

The 8 core AMD Ryzen 7 8700GE consumes half as much

The first test of the 35-watt AMD Ryzen 7 8700GE processor has appeared on the Internet. It has not yet been officially presented, but this is probably a matter of the near future. In the first tests, it was compared with the 65-watt Ryzen 7 8700G, and it turned out that with actually half the consumption, the performance of the Ryzen 7 8700GE is only about 20% lower.

Testers also tested the built-in graphics core – there is approximately the same difference in performance. For example, the lag of iGPU Ryzen 7 8700GE in 3DMark TimeSpy is only 18%, in Unigine Heaven Extreme it is already more significant 28%. But overall, when it comes to graphics, the Ryzen 7 8700GE is 23% slower.
