GaN fast chargers are expected to surpass 50% in 2025

They concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the supply of these products. As a result, the supply of SSDs to the channel (retail sales) amounted to 111.5 million units, which is 15% less than in 2019. Analysts clarify that when looking at the overall solid-state drive market, NAND flash vendors, led by Samsung, accounted for about 35% of total shipments in 2020, with solid-state drive module makers accounting for the remaining 65%. Experts from the analytical company IDC have summed up the results of the third quarter of 2021 in the market of “traditional” PCs, which in IDC include desktops, laptops and workstations, in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa. continued to grow in the second quarter of 2021. Interestingly, in Western Europe, desktop sales rose 21.8%, surpassing notebooks, which grew only 13.1% for the first time in six quarters.

The market leader is HP, which was able to increase sales by 15.0% over the year, which led to an increase in its share from 24.4% to 24.9%.

In second place is Lenovo. This company managed to increase sales by 13.0%, as a result of which its share increased from 22.7% to 22.8%.

Dell ranks third. Over the year, it increased sales by 43.4% (by the way, this is the best indicator in the top five manufacturers), which led to an increase in its share from 10.6% to 13.5%.

The fourth place belongs to Asus, which increased sales by only 0.6%. As this figure is less than the average, Asus’ share has decreased from 9.2% to 8.2%.

Acer Group closes the top five. Having increased sales by only 2.7%, this manufacturer also lost part of the market: its share decreased from 8.9% to 8.1% over the year.
