The Radeon RX 6650 XT will be slightly more expensive in Europe than the Radeon RX 6600 XT, but the Radeon RX 6750 XT will rise in price

The official start of sales of AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT 3D cards is expected on May 10, but the French online store has already added new items to its catalog. Moreover, it is indicated that the delivery of 3D-cards is possible within 24-48 hours, and there are 8-10 of them in stock. It should be noted that in Europe it is not uncommon for new products to appear on sale earlier than the official date (this happened repeatedly in Germany with Intel and AMD processors), and this is probably just such a case.

How much are they asking for new items? The Radeon RX 6750 XT is available for €864.5 and the Radeon RX 6650 XT for €559.5. Both models are manufactured by Asus and the Dual line, the cooling system of which includes two fans. Apparently, the coolers will be the same as the current Asus Dual Radeon RX 6600 XT and Asus Dual Radeon RX 6700 XT. It should be noted that these prices are inclusive of VAT, which in France is 20%.

Judging by these prices, the Radeon RX 6650 XT will not be much more expensive than the current model. For example, the average price of a Radeon RX 6600 XT in Germany’s largest store, Mindfactory, is approximately 500 euros (there is a PowerColor Radeon RX 6600 XT Fighter for 424 euros, and there is a Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming OC for 567 euros).

The situation with the Radeon RX 6750 XT is no longer so rosy. The average price of the Radeon RX 6700 XT in the same Mindfactory is about 670 euros. A price increase of 200 euros with a 2% increase in performance looks too bold. True, until official prices are announced, it is not clear who is to blame for such an extra charge: AMD itself or the store, which, quite likely, decided to earn some extra money on the new product.

Engineers came up with a way to increase the cooling

US engineers have come up with a new way to cool semiconductor products, which does not involve the use of a thermal interface. Conformal coating in laboratory conditions has demonstrated its high efficiency in comparison with traditional methods of heat removal.

Electronic devices heat up during operation, and the greater the power, the stronger the heating, all other things being equal. This problem is especially acute with the miniaturization of devices. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have come up with a new efficient way to remove heat from semiconductor products.

Usually, a radiator is connected to the hottest places of the microcircuit through a thermal interface. For example, thermal paste. Instead, American scientists proposed to cover the entire device with a thin layer of polymer insulator, and “fill” it with a layer of copper on top, completely repeating the shape of the device. This conformal coating is in close contact with the device and effectively removes heat from it.

Engineers came up with a way to increase the cooling efficiency of processors by 700%

“We compared our coatings to standard heat dissipation methods. It turned out that our method dissipates 740% more power per unit volume.one of the researchers explained.

It is expected that in the future this invention will make electronic devices, including telephones and computers, more powerful and compact.

“These contracts, which are valued in the billions of dollars and will run for the next 10 years, represent a historic expansion of commercial imagery purchases by the National Space Intelligence Agency.”the agency said in a statement.

The exact amount of contracts is not called. It is noted that they are concluded for five years with the possibility of an additional extension until 2032.

Tecno introduced the Pova 3 smartphone, which boasts a huge battery and a huge screen.

The novelty received a 6.9-inch 90-Hz IPS display with Full HD + resolution. The battery capacity is 7000 mAh. Samsung has stopped experimenting with such smartphones, so it is very, very difficult to find something like this on the market.

The heart of the novelty is the SoC MediaTek Helio G88. There are 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of flash memory. The main camera is represented primarily by a 50-megapixel main sensor, and the other two can be left out, as these are just “plugs” with a resolution of 2 megapixels. The resolution of the front camera is 8 megapixels.

From the rest, we can note stereo speakers, a design diluted with a vertical stripe, 25-watt charging and 10-watt reverse charging. By the way, for some reason, a 33-watt charger comes with the device, so this value appears in some promotional materials, which is confusing.

In the Philippines, where the smartphone first debuted, it costs just $172.

Netflix hid nine NFTs in its Love Death Robots

The third season of Love, Death & Robots premiered on Netflix last Friday. The service prepared a surprise and placed QR codes in different places and episodes that allow you to “mint” NFTs.

Netflix hid nine NFTs in its Love, Death + Robots series

Minting, also often referred to as minting, is the process of creating a non-fungible token and “registering” it on the blockchain. Usually, in order to “mint” NFT, you need to pay a network fee. After that, information about the non-fungible token and its author will be included in the blockchain.

The most popular NFT minting network is Ethereum. In February 2022, the amount of non-fungible ETH tokens used for minting reached a maximum.

The action is calledHunting 101“. The point is that the organizers hid 9 different NFTs in the form of QR codes. And the task of the viewer is to find them.

NFTs can be found both in the digital world of the series and in the real world: for example, on billboards and billboards.

When the user has found and scanned the QR code, it is necessary to mint the token through a smart contract. Or the second option is to simply download the JPEG image to your device.

According to the show’s official OpenSea account, viewers have only found three NFTs so far.

The number of tokens is not limited. This means that any user can find the same QR code and mint the NFT. The company does not charge for this. But in order to transfer NFT to your Metamask wallet, you need to pay for gas on the Ethereum network.

Further, the user can keep the tokens for himself for the collection, or resell on OpenSea. Now the average price of an NFT from Netflix is 0.0031 ETH (about $30).
