Network sources report that Google is designing a new laptop, codenamed Halvor, to use the Chrome OS operating system as the software platform.
The model is said to be part of the Pixelbook family. It is known that the design provides for a keyboard, touchpad and touch screen. So far, however, it is not entirely clear what form factor Halvor will receive: it could be a classic laptop or a two-in-one computer with tablet mode.
The “heart” of the novelty is the Volteer motherboard. It talks about using an eleventh generation Intel Core processor from the Tiger Lake family. The amount of RAM will be 16 GB.
Among other things, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and three balanced USB Type-C ports are mentioned.
It is not yet clear when the official presentation of the new Google Pixelbook Chromebook will take place. Apparently, this will not happen until next year.
