DxOMark specialists got to the Honor X7 smartphone, but not to evaluate the camera, but to test the power subsystem.

Recall that the smartphone is equipped with a standard battery today with a capacity of 5000 mAh and not the most outstanding charging power of 22.5 watts.

At the same time, thanks to the screen with a low resolution and SoC Snapdragon 680, the device showed a very decent autonomy, having lasted 2 days and 17 hours in the source tests. For comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro Max showed a result of 2 days and 20 hours, that is, with a price difference of about four times, the autonomy of smartphones is very close.

The charging parameters are also close. From 0 to 80%, the smartphone charges in 1 hour and 5 minutes, and it takes 2 hours and 31 minutes to fully charge. The flagship of Apple is 1 hour 1 minute and 2 hours 11 minutes, respectively. True, the iPhone 13 Pro Max was eventually rated at 89 points, and the Honor smartphone received only 74 points, which puts it in 40th place in the overall ranking. The reason is that in a number of subtests, the Apple device is a cut above. For example, when playing music, it lasted almost 62 hours versus less than 29 hours for the Honor X7. But in games, the latter is better: 9 hours and 44 minutes versus 8 hours and 52 minutes.

Samsung is spending more on R&D...or less? It all depends on how you count.

Despite this, the investment-to-revenue ratio fell to 7.9%. Moreover, the figure has been steadily declining since 2021. Before that, it was actively growing, increasing from 7.4% in 2018 to 9.8% in 2020.

During the same period, Samsung’s investments in factories and facilities amounted to $15.2 billion, with about 80% of this amount spent on everything related to the company’s semiconductor business, which has been Samsung’s most important in recent years. At the same time, these investments are $2.5 billion less than what the company invested in its facilities in the first half of 2021.

NASA has placed SLS rockets on the launch pad for launch as part of the Artemis 1 mission.

The Americans installed the most powerful launch vehicle in the world at the moment on the launch pad. SLS is due to make its first flight on August 29

The launch is scheduled for August 29th. The Artemis 1 mission involves testing the Orion spacecraft and launching it to the moon. The mission will last from 39 to 42 days. Among other things, one of the most important moments of the mission will be the return of the ship to Earth. Orion will not just return, but will enter the upper atmosphere twice. The first entry will be partial with a further return to a higher orbit, after which a full re-entry and landing will follow. Thus, NASA will test the ship for strength.

As for the rocket, once launched, the SLS will be the most powerful rocket currently in use. It is capable of launching up to 95 tons of cargo into the reference orbit, and in the future, after modifications, the figure can be increased to 130 tons. It is capable of delivering 27 tons to the moon.

NASA expects that the upcoming launch will attract a huge number of people to the beach near the spaceport. Cocoa Beach city officials estimate that between 100,000 and 200,000 people will come to watch the launch.
