The iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphone was the first in the Apple line to receive a “telephoto” based on a tetraprism with a five-fold optical zoom. In the future, Apple may switch to a tetraprism with 10x zoom.

Apple will reportedly replace LG Innotek, which is currently supplying the tetraprism module, with ICT (a subsidiary of Luxshare) due to some conflict, the details of which are not available. At the same time, the next generation of tetraprism module will provide 10x optical zoom.

Exactly when this will happen is unclear, but not next year. According to all data, in the upcoming generation of iPhone the module will remain the same, but in addition to the Pro Max model, the small Pro will also appear. Perhaps the new camera will become the highlight of the iPhone 17 line and, quite possibly, will also initially appear only on the most expensive model.

The Kr.Investing resource doesn’t say anything about this, but it can be assumed that if Apple really gives the tetraprism “telephoto” a 10x zoom, it will implement another “telephoto” with a smaller zoom. For example, with three times. Let us remember that such a system is implemented in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, except that the “telephoto” there is not based on a tetraprism, but on the basis of a periscope module.

The photo taken by the Korean flagship is not full of detail. The photo taken by Xiaomi 14 Ultra is already more detailed. But the photo taken using AI is the most detailed: you can see the tread pattern on the tire, corrosion spots on the wheel rim, and the texture of the road surface under the wheel.

Xiaomi do you give Leica cameras to all smartphones The

Insider Digital Chat Station revealed details about the future smartphone Xiaomi Civi 4 – this mid-level model this year (in the spring, approximately in May) will replace last year’s Civi 3. And, naturally, the characteristics will improve.

Xiaomi, do you give Leica cameras to all smartphones? The mid-range Xiaomi Civi 4 will receive a Leica camera and 100W charging for the first time

According to the informant, Xiaomi Civi 4 will be built on the new SoC Qualcomm SM8635, which is also called Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3. According to preliminary data, its performance will be approximately at the level of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. And this will already be a serious bid for leadership in the sub-flagship segment , where MediaTek still rules the roost.

Xiaomi Civi 4 is credited with a flat screen with a resolution of 1.5K and “micro-curved” glass 2.7D, a Leica camera with a 50-megapixel sensor (Civi 4 will be the first non-numbered Xiaomi smartphone with a Leica camera), a 5000 mAh battery with charging support 100 W power, metal frame and glass back panel.

Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12.

The most powerful smartphones in February 2024 according to AnTuTu

The developers of the AnTuTu benchmark have published a new rating of the most powerful smartphones – for February of this year. Despite the fact that most of the models in the list (six out of ten) are built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the top model on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC is the Oppo Find X7 with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash memory.

The other two models from the top 3 are based on the Qualcomm single-chip platform – the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory, as well as the iQOO 12 with the same amounts of memory.

As the compilers of the rating note, there is not a single Xiaomi smartphone in it, and this is to some extent a surprise, since previously the devices of this company (Xiaomi or Redmi) were almost always included in the top 10 most powerful. The explanation for this may lie in the fact that so far HyperOS, installed on the current flagships of the Xiaomi 14 line, cannot boast the same agility as MIUI.
