The new generation of the legendary “clamshell”. Moto Razr 40 Ultra unveiled with 6.9-inch 165Hz and 3.6-inch 144Hz screens
Today in China, the official premiere of another “ultra” took place – this time the folding smartphone Moto Razr 40 Ultra. In the new generation, the “clamshell” has become much more convenient due to the significantly increased external screen – its diagonal is 3.6 inches. And for the first time, the frame rate of the outdoor display of a smartphone of this form factor is 144 Hz. The resolution is 1066 x 1056 pixels, the outer display is protected by tempered glass Gorilla Glass 7.
The panel of both external and internal displays is pOLED. The internal screen is characterized by a diagonal of 6.9 inches, Full HD + resolution, a frame rate of 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 1400 cd / sq.m.
The main camera has two sensors. The main one is 64-megapixel with OIS, the secondary one is 13-megapixel with an ultra wide-angle lens. The front camera is with a 32-megapixel sensor. Moto Razr 40 Ultra is equipped with stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.
The hardware basis of the smartphone is SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, supplemented by 8-12 GB of RAM and 256-512 GB of flash memory. The battery capacity was 3800 mAh, it supports 33 W charging. The OS is Android 13 with MYUI 6.0 interface.
Moto Razr 40 Ultra also received a side fingerprint scanner, IP52 protection, a 5G modem, WiFi-6E and Bluetooth 5.3 adapters, an NFC chip, a USB-C port.
The novelty will go on sale in three colors and two configurations – 8/256 GB for $800 and 12/512 GB for $900.
Laptops
Only 1.7 liters, but Core i9 and RTX 4070 Laptop. Thunderobot Mix Mini introduced starting at $750
Thunderobot has fully introduced the Mix Mini gaming mini-PC. The device is extremely interesting, since a 14-core Core i9 and RTX 4070 Laptop fit into a body with a volume of only 1.7 liters.
Of course, there are simpler versions. The base one has a Core i7-13620H, RTX 4060 Laptop, 16 GB of RAM and no storage. For such a PC they ask for $750. The most expensive one will be the one with Core i9-13900H, RTX 4070 Laptop, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. For such a PC you will have to pay 1230 dollars.
From the rest we can highlight Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1 (x2), USB-C (x2), USB 3.2 (x2), RJ45 and dimensions 260 x 165 x 42 mm.

There are no details yet, but it is known that the line will include four models with diagonals of 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches. All new products will receive 4K UHD screens with a frequency of 144 Hz, SoC MediaTek MT9653, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory.
At the same time, the prices for the devices will be very low: 381, 483, 674 and 879 dollars in increasing order of diagonal.
Phones

The “smartphone-clutch” Honor V Purse, despite its positioning as a fashion accessory and form factor, is priced at not the most $825 for the basic version. Considering the same form factor and positioning, it would be useful to know that screen repair will cost the owner almost 70% of the cost of the smartphone.
As it became known, Honor will charge about $558 for screen repair. This is the price in China at the current exchange rate. It will also be very expensive to replace the motherboard: $274 or $342 depending on the configuration. Of course, this includes the platform, RAM and flash memory, since all this is soldered on the board.

Considering that this is a “smartphone-clutch”, it will be much easier to damage the screen of such a device than a regular smartphone that is constantly carried in a pocket or bag. And the prices for repairs indicate that it is better to be careful.
