Mazda continues its marketing campaign for the new Mazda CX-90 large crossover with a video showing off the upscale interior and new Artisan Red color.
Mazda will use a mixture of neutral colors with traditional Japanese stitching on the dashboard. Places in the cabin will be chrome elements, as well as wood trim (or “wood look”).
The video also confirms that the large Mazda CX-90 SUV has retained the shifter, as well as many physical controls.
The new Mazda CX-90 will be fully revealed on January 31st, but a series of videos have already revealed quite a few details. We already know that it will be equipped with the all-new 3.3-liter Inline Six e-Skyactiv Turbo engine with the highest power (340 hp) and torque (500 Nm) of any Mazda production petrol engine. This engine will be paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
Mazda will also offer a hybrid powertrain, but whether it will get the 2.5L six-cylinder or four-cylinder engine from the CX-60 remains to be seen.
Toyota has unveiled the new 2023 Toyota Mirai, which is largely unchanged from last year’s model, but now comes equipped with the Toyota Audio Multimedia package.
Toyota Multimedia Audio Suite is gradually appearing in new Toyota models. Users can interact with the system via a 12.3-inch touch screen and voice commands, while Connected Service Drive Connect gives you access to cloud navigation and a smart assistant. You can access it by saying Hey Toyota, then search for specific locations on the map, control the climate control system, and control playback with your voice.
The updated hydrogen fuel cell vehicle supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity and offers a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot that can serve up to five mobile devices simultaneously. Customers receive a three-month subscription to the SiriusXM online radio service.
The car received a forward collision warning system with pedestrian detection, a lane departure warning system, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and the ability to recognize traffic signs.
Both variants of the 2023 Mirai are powered by a 184kW electric motor paired with a 1.24kWh battery pack and three hydrogen tanks. Toyota claims that the base XLE version offers a range of 647 km. The drive is rear.
The 2023 Toyota Mirai is on offer in the US starting at $50,525. The Limited Edition costs $67,025. Buyers get the opportunity to refuel hydrogen tanks for a total of $15,000.
