AMD’s 96-core Epyc Genoa processors have already been released, and now the company is going to release 128-core Bergamo CPUs. Previously, AMD itself talked about them, and now the company has told when to expect them.

Bergamo will be released in the current half of the year, that is, in the next few months. AMD does not yet provide more accurate data. Recall that these CPUs will have the same SP5 performance as Genoa, but the configuration will include only Zen 4C cores instead of full-fledged Zen 4. AMD has not previously said much about Zen 4C, but it is known for sure that these are not small cores, like in Intel, and the core of the same architecture, but with a number of changes.

AMD is also going to release Siena Epyc processors, which will be optimized for use in telecommunications equipment. But there are no details about them yet, except that it is known that they will be released later than Bergamo. Monstrous hybrid specialized processors Instinct MI300 will be released in the second half of the year.

Recall that AMD admitted that it had limited the supply of its products to the market over the past six months, due to which the prices for a number of products were inflated.

In the picture you can see the AD107 and AD106 GPUs. So far, there are no processor data carriers in the desktop segment, but they have already been announced in the mobile segment: these are the RTX 4050/4060 and RTX 4070.

The new GPUs are very compact. The smaller one has an area of ​​about 150-160 mm2, and the larger one has an area of ​​180-190 mm2. In comparison, the AD104, which the desktop RTX 4070 Ti is based on and the mobile RTX 4090 is supposed to be based on, measures almost 300mm2.

The AD107 has 3072 CUDA cores while the AD106 offers 4608 CUDA cores. In both cases, video cards will have a 128-bit memory bus.

Laptops based on graphics cards with these GPUs should hit the market soon.

Ryzen 7000 processors continue to get cheaper. Now several major foreign chains are offering the eight-core Ryzen 7 7700X for $299.

Recall that AMD initially priced this CPU at $400, then the company lowered prices for all new items, and this model began to cost $350. Now we have another decline, although it may be temporary.

Discounts also apply to the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 5 7600X, but in their case, the prices simply fell back to those that AMD set back in November, while the Ryzen 7 7700X fell even more.

Whether this offer will be available globally and how long it will be active is unclear. But let’s recall that yesterday AMD itself admitted that for the past six months it has deliberately limited the supply of its products to the market, which is why prices were inflated.
