The best-selling smartphone in the first half of 2020 was the iPhone 11. This is confirmed by a recent study by analytical firm Ovum.
According to Apple, 37.7 million iPhone 11s have been shipped since the beginning of the year, which is 10.8 million more than last year’s best-selling iPhone XR. According to Ovum, this was made possible by the lower starting price and the best technical characteristics.
In second place was the smartphone Samsung Galaxy A51. The number of deliveries exceeds 11.4 million devices.
In third and fourth place are Redmi Note 8 (11 million devices) and Redmi Note 8 Pro (10.2 million devices). At the same time, they are ahead of the popular iPhone SE of the second generation – 8.7 million deliveries.
The top 10 also includes the iPhone XR (8 million devices) and the iPhone 11 Pro Max (7.7 million units).
iPhone 11 Pro took tenth place in the Omdia rating – 6.7 million devices. In 2019, the Samsung Galaxy A30 closed the top ten.
