The most popular 5G smartphones named

Strategy Analytics has published a ranking of the world’s best-selling 5th generation smartphones. The iPhone 12 is not among them, of course, since it began selling quite recently and did not manage to get into the sample.

Top 5 smartphones with 5G support in the first half of 2020:

  1. Samsung Galaxy S20 + 5G
  2. Samsung S20 Ultra 5G
  3. Samsung S20 5G
  4. Huawei P40 Pro 5G
  5. Huawei Mate 30 5G

Analysts believe the 5G smartphone market will grow rapidly in the months and years to come, as it always does as new communications networks develop. In the first six months of this year, the total worldwide revenue from sales of such devices was 34 billion dollars.

Now the development of the market is constrained by the weak prevalence of 5G networks, as well as the coronavirus pandemic, due to which companies cannot create and release new models at the same pace.

Currently, only two companies are the leaders of the 5G smartphone market – Samsung and Huawei. With the release of the iPhone 12 line, another very strong player has emerged – Apple. According to analysts’ expectations, Apple will bypass Huawei and will closely compete with Samsung. Huawei is going through hard times now, the demand for smartphones of this company could be much higher, but it cannot install Android devices with Google services on its devices, and this scares off potential buyers. They increasingly prefer low-cost smartphones from other Chinese brands, primarily Xiaomi, whose sales have shown rapid growth over the past few months.
