Yesterday Meizu revealed the date of the announcement of the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro smartphones, and today the company showed these models on official renders. And now we can say that the new items will become the most convenient flagships for one-handed operation. And they will definitely appeal to fans of compact smartphones.

It’s all about the diagonal of the screen. In Meizu 18 it will be only 6.2 inches. The second teaser suggests that the Meizu 18 Pro will have a 2K resolution matrix – probably not worse than the Xiaomi Mi 11. So far, these are all new details about smartphones, but we are waiting for new teasers tomorrow.

According to preliminary data, smartphones will receive support for fast charging with a capacity of 36 and 40 W (Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro, respectively), but the chargers themselves will not be included. The younger model is credited with a triple camera with sensors with a resolution of 64, 12 and 5 megapixels, as well as SoC Snapdragon 870. The older one will definitely use Snapdragon 888. For the basic Nothing Phone (1), with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, they will ask 470 euros in Europe. The 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB variants are priced at €500 and €550, respectively. At the same time, Nothing Phone (1) will not offer anything particularly outstanding in terms of characteristics: SoC Snapdragon 778G Plus, a 50-megapixel camera and an OLED screen are in much more affordable models. Moreover, the Google Pixel 6 is now in the same price range – it can be purchased in Europe for 500-550 euros. Isn’t Karl Pei asking a lot for a model that differs from most in a transparent cover and a couple of dozen LEDs placed under it?

Samsung has released a smartphone that neither Xiaomi, nor Huawei, nor Realme offers the likes of. Introduced secure Galaxy XCover6 Pro with a removable battery

Unlike many of its predecessors, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro offers far from the most basic specs. The heart here is the Snapdragon 778G, which means that the XCover6 Pro is more productive than most Samsung smartphones in the Galaxy A line.

The device has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of flash memory that can be expanded with microSD cards, a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide resolution, a 13-megapixel front camera, and a 6.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of Full HD + with support for 120 Hz. The display is covered with the latest Glass Victus + glass, but probably a film is glued on top, as is usually the case with secure smartphones.

The battery capacity is small by today’s standards and amounts to 4050 mAh, but the device’s battery is removable, that is, you can replace it yourself by simply opening the back cover. Moreover, hot swapping is supported.

Also worth noting is a USB-C 3.2 port, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, two customizable buttons, and DeX support. As for protection, we are talking about IP68 and the MIL-STD-810H standard.
