The most anticipated flagships of the year – together in one photo

A photo has appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo, which captures yet unreleased Huawei and Apple smartphones. If this leak is reliable, the picture shows the Huawei Mate 40 Pro on the left, and on the right we see one of the modifications of the iPhone 12 (probably Pro or Pro Max).

Judging by the pictures, smartphones have approximately the same dimensions. The fringe in the iPhone 12 screen seems to have decreased in comparison with last year’s models, and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a dual front camera in a rather massive notch.

Of course, the photo may turn out to be a fake, because the chance that someone has two of the most anticipated flagships of this year at the same time is extremely minimal. Perhaps the photo has been completed in Photoshop or it shows “blanks” collected on the basis of leaks about the design of new products from Huawei and Apple.

The iPhone 12 lineup could be announced on October 13, when Apple has a major public event scheduled at Apple Park. The company is expected to announce the release of four smartphones, but only two of them will start selling this month, and the start of sales of the top two models will allegedly be postponed until November. Apple usually launches new smartphones in September, but there has been a delay this year due to coronavirus issues.

The announcement of smartphones from the Mate 40 Pro series is rumored to be scheduled for October 15th. Huawei, like Apple, will showcase several models with different specs and prices. They are expected to be equipped with a Kirin 9000 processor with an integrated 5G modem, a top-end camera and 66-watt fast charging. Smartphones will have the EMUI 11 shell based on Android 10 with the prospect of replacing them with HarmonyOS in early 2021.
