Apple didn’t showcase the Mac Pro at its recent Peek Performance event, the most powerful Apple Silicon based computer at the moment is the Mac Studio. The new Mac Pro will have to wait until the company releases the M2 Extreme single-chip system, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Recall that the Apple M1 Ultra platform was recently introduced, and the M2 Extreme model will be a real monster with 48 CPU cores and 96/128 GPU cores. There will also be an M2 Ultra model with 24 CPU cores and 48/64 GPU cores. Recall that the Apple M1 Ultra includes 20 CPU cores and 48/64 GPU cores.

The M1 series single-chip systems use the CPU and GPU cores from the Apple A14 SoC (iPhone 12 series). The Apple M2 series will switch to either the Apple A15 design or the Apple A16 and the corresponding new process technology, but it’s not yet clear which.

The M1 Ultra is two M1 Max chips connected by an adapter that Apple calls UltraFusion. Presumably, the M2 Ultra will have a similar design, while the M2 Extreme should consist of four M2 Max chips combined into one.

Mark Gurman suggests this possible distribution of SoC M2 between future Macs:

  • MacBook Pro (14″ and 16″) with M2 Pro and M2 Max
  • iMac Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max
  • Mac Studio with M2 Max and M2 Ultra
  • Mac Pro with M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme
  • MacBook Air with M2
  • MacBook Pro (13″) with M2
  • Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro versions
  • iMac with M2

Bold expectations that the Mi Band 7 will receive a 250 mAh battery have been dashed against the harsh reality – the fitness bracelet uses a 180 mAh battery. At least in the version with NFC, but it is unlikely that the battery capacity of the regular Mi Band 7 will be larger. However, even 180 mAh is noticeably more than 125 mAh in Mi Band 6. At the same time, we recall that the AMOLED screen size was 1.62 inches, while rumors attributed to the device a display with a diagonal of 1.56 inches. Xiaomi calls the screen of the Mi Band 7 a “Retina level display”.

What else do the inscriptions on the fitness bracelet box say? For example, the presence of a pulse oximeter and a proprietary voice assistant, support for more than 100 training modes, a sleep monitoring system and water protection (5ATM). The cost of the version with NFC is already known – $ 40. The official premiere of Mi Band 7 will take place on May 24.
