OnePlus recently teased the announcement of the OnePlus Watch Harry Potter Edition smartwatch. This is not a new model, but a version based on the regular OnePlus Watch. And now the watch is presented.

The novelty appeared in India at a price of $ 225. Some resources received the watch in advance, so that we can appreciate not only a lot of photos, but also the operating experience, although technically this is still the same OnePlus watch.

The Harry Potter Edition comes in a new color and comes with an embossed leather strap. The packaging is very large and, of course, unique. In addition to the watch, you can find a charger, a club card, a certain amount of advertising materials inside.

For this version of the watch, six new dials and a new turn-on animation were created. For the rest, this is an ordinary smartwatch, distinguished by a good screen and excellent autonomy (they worked for the author for about 8 days). Whether such a watch will appear outside of India is not yet clear.

Today Honor introduced not only Honor 60 smartphones, but also an improved version of its popular fitness bracelet Band 6. The device is called and looks exactly the same as the current version, and they can only be distinguished by the catalog number: the current Band 6 has B19 , the new one has B39.

The updated Honor Band 6 still has the same 1.47-inch AMOLED screen, heart rate sensor, sleep, menstrual and ovulation monitoring system, dust and water protection (5ATM), 14 days of battery life and magnetic charging.

There are two innovations. An advanced pulse oximeter that works continuously in any weather, and can also give an alarm if blood oxygenation falls below a threshold. And also an increased number of training modes – 95 instead of 10.

The new Honor Band 6 has risen in price a little: the standard version will retail for $ 40, and the version with NFC – $ 45. But the first buyers in China are promised discounts, bringing the price down to $ 32 and $ 40, respectively.

Huawei announced the launch of third-party app support for its smartwatches at the end of February 2021. The Watch GT2 Pro was the first to receive this function.

Now, a few months later, the less expensive Huawei Watch GT2 (review) and Huawei Watch GT2e have finally received this feature in fresh software updates. Unfortunately, while we are talking about very limited access – the function works only in test firmware and only for Chinese users.

The update was received by the participants of the testing program with Huawei Watch GT2 versions at 42 and 46 mm, as well as Watch GT2e. In addition to supporting third-party applications, the latest firmware also adds the ability to install applications with which heart disease research is carried out.

Following the launch of the new feature in China, similar updates can be expected in the international market.
