The long-awaited Always-On Display in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will allow you to display widgets from the lock screen
All the latest data indicates that at least the older smartphones of the iPhone 14 line will receive Always-On Display support.
According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the Always-On Display on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models will allow new widgets created for the lock screen to be displayed on the screen.
This means that not only the clock can be displayed on the off screen, but also the calendar, unread messages, weather forecast, stock quotes, and so on. All that is in the form of widgets for the lock screen. How it will be possible to interact with such data in Always-On Display mode is still unknown.
The older models of the new generation, we recall, are credited with 120 Hz screens that are capable of reducing the frame rate to 1 Hz. This will allow smartphones to consume battery power very economically in Always-On Display mode.

Is this iPhone possessed by the devil? The girl took a picture of herself in front of the mirrors and discovered that the reflections in the mirrors did not match her pose.

Modern mobile photography is increasingly turning into computational photography every year. And sometimes this results in very interesting incidents, as in the photo below.
At first glance, it may seem that everything is in order with the picture. But if you look more closely, you can see that the girl who published this photo looks different in two neighboring mirrors, and besides, neither of the mirrors reflects the girl’s real pose.
Creating such an image in Photoshop or another editor is not difficult, but the caveat is that this photo was taken on an iPhone without any further processing.
The reason for this result is actually quite simple. For some reason, the iPhone algorithms mistook the girl’s reflections for other people, and since modern photos are taken by gluing together many instantly taken photographs, we see that from somewhere in this set of photos the iPhone took one girl, from somewhere else, and then I glued it all together.
The funny thing is that in the past, when there was no talk of any modern smartphones or cameras, such a photo could have been regarded as the work of the devil.

The secret behind OnePlus 12’s record-breaking performance has been revealed. The smartphone will have a giant vapor chamber

In smartphones, as in computers: the key to high performance is a good cooling system. Manufacturers of gaming models include a fan in the CO fan, and manufacturers of regular flagships try to make the evaporation chamber as large as possible. And OnePlus went much further than others in this regard: OnePlus 12 received a vapor chamber of a record area – 9140 mm2. The teaser clearly shows that the vapor chamber covers most of the area of the rear panel.
9140 mm2 is approximately twice as large as other flagships on SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for example, Redmi K70 Pro – 5000 mm2). The area of the entire cooling system is 38,547 mm2, and this is also a record. It’s no surprise that the OnePlus 12 was able to set an AnTuTu performance record for smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The OnePlus 12 records don’t end there. At least it has a screen with record brightness. The smartphone will also receive an advanced Hasselblad camera, which will allow you to take photos like this.

Cheap and with 5G. Redmi 13C 5G smartphone specifications revealed

The $100 Xiaomi Redmi 13C 4G smartphone was introduced a month ago, and the Redmi 13C 5G should hit the market soon. And today Xiaomi revealed its basis.
The advertising poster tells us that the heart of the new product will be the Dimensity 6100+. If previously budget versions of a model with 5G were much more powerful than a similar version with 4G, now this is not always the case. In particular, the performance of the above SoC is about the same as that of the Helio G99, which powers the Redmi 13C 4G. Actually, this is not surprising, because the characteristics of these platforms are identical down to the frequencies, and the only difference is in the modems.
However, it is worth noting that there are two modifications of the Redmi 13C 4G in the world. One is based on the Helio G99, while the other relies on the less powerful Helio G88 SoC, which is also produced using an older process technology.
As for the rest, the new product is credited with a 6.74-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution, 8/256 GB of memory, a 5000 mAh battery and a 50-megapixel camera.
