Xiaomi has released the July 2022 Android operating system security patch for Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone users around the world.
Xiaomi Mi A3 was released three years ago and is the latest Xiaomi smartphone to be released under the Android One program. Xiaomi Mi A3 will join the list of unsupported devices after the release of the latest software update.
Xiaomi Mi A3 was released in July 2019 and came bundled with Android 9.0 Pie and switched to Android 11 in due course. It has received regular software updates for three years of its existence. Xiaomi has promised three years of patches and security updates for the device.
The newest update is only 8MB in size and fixes known bugs.
Xiaomi will stop developing MIUI for eight smartphones. Among them are Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi 10X and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
Xiaomi today announced that it will stop working on beta firmware versions for nine of its smartphones from October 31 this year: Xiaomi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro , Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition and Redmi Note 9.
Naturally, this does not mean at all that all these models will immediately stop receiving software updates – fresh firmware for them will continue to be released for a long time, as beta versions are transferred to the release (final) status. However, we can already say that these models will not receive anything fresher than MIUI 13 (MIUI 14 will not be released until November).
Xiaomi also announced the recruitment of participants in the Android 13 beta testing group for the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition gaming smartphone – the test will be launched before the end of this month.

The best camera phone on the way? Huawei Mate 50 launched in mass production, it will be presented on September 7 along with smart watches Huawei Watch GT4
Huawei has started mass production of the new Mate 50 flagship smartphones, according to a Chinese resource that cites supply chain sources. Huawei has traditionally been very strong in terms of camera capabilities, and it is possible that some Mate 50 Pro will top the DxOMark rankings in the future. .
In general, four models are expected in the series: Mate 50e, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS. They will receive curved screens from local (Chinese) manufacturers and the recently introduced HarmonyOS 3.0. The younger model is credited with SoC Snapdragon 778G, all the rest – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 without 5G support. However, some sources also talk about the use of Snapdragon 888 (also in the version with an LTE modem), so not everything is clear here yet.
The premiere of Huawei Mate 50 in China is expected on September 7, on the same day the company may introduce the Watch GT4 smart watch. There are no special details about this device: it is only reported that the watch will receive a larger screen than the current model, improved optical sensors and, of course, HarmonyOS 3.0.
