The latest Samsung ISOCELL HP2 image sensor is introduced. It may debut in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its latest 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 image sensor with enhanced pixel technology, which will be used in upcoming flagship smartphones.
The Samsung ISOCELL HP2 uses advanced high-resolution image sensor technology and Samsung know-how. Our leadership is based on innovative pixel technologies that enable our sensors to go beyond the number and size of pixels. We will continue to break new ground and strengthen our presence in the growing ultra-high resolution sensor market.
Jun Seo Yim, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics
The ISOCELL HP2 contains 200 million 0.6µm pixels in a 1/1.3″ optical format sensor. The new sensor uses Samsung’s advanced pixel binning technology, Tetra 2 pixel. In low-light conditions, the sensor can take 50-megapixel photos with 1.2 µm pixels, or 12.5 megapixel photos with 2.4 µm pixels (which combines information from 16 adjacent pixels).
Samsung Dual Vertical Transfer Gate (D-VTG) technology reduces blur in bright environments. In low light, the HP2’s autofocus is taken to the next level with Super QPD technology, which allows the sensor to use all of its 200 million pixels to focus.
The sensor supports 8K video recording at 30 fps. In addition, the camera allows you to simultaneously record 4K video at 60 frames per second in HDR, as well as take 12.5-megapixel images.
Samsung ISOCELL HP2 launched into series production. Previous rumors indicate that it will debut in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. A well-known insider Ice Universe spoke about the ISOCELL HP2 sensor back in October.

How so, Microsoft? A third party developer has already added ChatGPT to Word

Creative Data Studios has developed a plug-in for Microsoft Word called Ghostwriter ChatGPT that adds chatbot functionality to a text editor. The novelty was created without the participation of Microsoft.
There are currently two versions of the plugin available: $10 and $25. The first is limited to short responses of two paragraphs and uses only the ChatGPT language model. A more advanced one is devoid of such restrictions, it uses all OpenAI models. You can install the plugin through the Office Add-in Store.
In addition, the developers promise an early release of similar plug-ins for all applications from the Microsoft package: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote. After the release of the add-on pack, users who have already purchased the plugin for Word will receive a discount.
According to Patrick Husting, who developed Ghostwriter, Microsoft will most likely disable Ghostwriter in the future when its own implementation of ChatGPT support is ready. However, this option can still be used.
Earlier it was reported that Microsoft has already added support for the GPT-3.5 model to Teams Premium, which will allow the neural network to listen to conversations, draw notes and plans based on the results. Microsoft also plans to add ChatGPT to the Bing search engine, but there, according to rumors, there will already be GPT-4.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra vs iPhone 14 Pro Max in a camera battle. Published a large video comparison of the two flagships

Despite the fact that there are still two weeks before the start of sales of Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones, full reviews of the camera of the older novelty have already been published on the Web. The author of the famous SuperSaf channel compared the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera with the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera.
Unfortunately, although the comparison is voluminous, it is far from being as informative as it happens on some other channels. However, there is still a lot of information.
As you can see, in low light, the brainchild of Samsung shows a wider dynamic range and detail. This is true for all cameras, including the ultra wide and tele cameras. But when shooting video at night, everything is not so clear. At least the Korean smartphone has a lot more noise and slower autofocus.
Of course, Samsung easily wins in the comparison of cameras, because it has two of them at once. Already at 10x zoom, the difference is very noticeable, and the iPhone cannot offer more than 15x at all.
Cinematic Mode on the iPhone clearly looks better, in addition, we can note a fairly significant difference in color reproduction, both in the photo and in the video.

Ryzen 9 7845HX is PassMark’s most powerful processor, and it’s not even a flagship model

The first test results of the Ryzen 9 7845HX mobile processor have appeared on the Web. And it immediately became the most productive PC in the PassMark database.
The novelty scored 46,791 points, while the Core i9-12900HX, which is in second place, is gaining only 35,628 points. If we compare the new AMD product with its predecessors, then the Ryzen 9 6900HX is gaining 24,640 points, that is, the new model is almost twice as fast!
And the Ryzen 9 7845HX is not a flagship. It contains 12 cores, while the Ryzen 9 7945HX will have 16 cores, so the same benchmark should be much faster.
True, the PassMark database does not yet have the new Core i9-13xxxHX, which are also much faster than their predecessors, so it is not clear who will win this confrontation in the end.
Recall, Ryzen 7x45HX represent the most productive AMD mobile processors in the new generation. They are based on the Zen 4 architecture and are manufactured using a 5nm process. We also recently saw what the new Radeon 780M iGPU is capable of in other Ryzen 7000 APUs.
