The latest MIUI 12.5 update for a long time: Xiaomi goes on vacation
Xiaomi has released the latest updates to the MIUI 12.5 branded shell before leaving for a long vacation.
Earlier, Xiaomi announced that it would suspend development of the MIUI 12.5 beta during the Chinese New Year holidays. The holiday itself in 2021 falls on February 12, but, according to tradition, the Chinese take a long vacation for themselves to have a good celebration. Xiaomi is going to take a hiatus from MIUI 12.5 development until February 19.
As noted by the thematic resource PiunikaWeb, MIUI 12.5 21.2.3 and 21.2.4 released a couple of days ago were the last updates before the developers’ holidays. The next MIUI 12.5 versions are expected on February 25th or 26th.
They brought innovations like MIUI Camera portrait mode light settings and MIUI Gallery lighting effects editor, including for long exposure shots. In addition, numerous improvements and optimizations have been made.
In China, beta testing of MIUI 12.5 is currently ongoing, with the first stable releases scheduled for April. On February 8, the official presentation of MIUI 12.5 for the international market will take place, but for now the company invites those who wish to register for the test program.
