The AMD 4700S APU is included in the Minisforum CR50 mini PC. Recall that the AMD 4700S is the same APU that serves as the heart of the PlayStation 5 console, only it has a disabled GPU.

In the case of the new mini-PC, a discrete graphics card Radeon RX 550 is installed to compensate for the latter. The configuration also includes 16 GB of RAM and a 256 or 512 GB SSD.

The dimensions of the PC, which are 205 x 192 x 86 mm, allowed the manufacturer to implement a fairly wide range of ports. There are four USB 2.0, four USB 3.2, HDMI, DVI, RJ45, audio jacks, but for some reason there is no USB-C. Also inside there is a place to install a 2.5-inch drive.

Depending on the configuration, the new product costs from $ 680 (without storage) to $ 760.

Activision would no longer release Call of Duty on an annual basis

Published

on

The acquisition of Activison-Blizzard by Microsoft this week opened the door to a number of changes within the American group. Besides the question of its future on the PlayStation console, call of duty could be subject to drastic change. The FPS franchise could abandon its annual publication rhythm to go for longer development times, and more spaced outings between them. An upheaval that would be considered within Activision, and the details of which are reported to us by journalist Jason Schreier for the site Bloomberg.

Activision-Blizzard

Will the war wait?

If nothing concrete has been announced for the moment, the idea would indeed be in discussion within the upper strata of the management of Activision. Giving more time to the development of the games would be an option considered to restore the image of the franchise with the players, after the reception on this side received by the last title Call of Duty: Vanguard. The acquisition of the Activison-Blizzard group by Microsoft could be the catalyst for this upheaval, the Richmond firm having the habit of favoring the time allocated to the production of games rather than the release of annual episodes.

Top of the charts…for now

So we relativize all the same: if Call of Duty: Vanguard was not a huge critical success, it is nonetheless a monstrous commercial success, as always for the darling of Activision. Vanguard thus topped physical sales in the United States for the year 2021—with a September release, just that. However, the title sold less than its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War, a potential sign of shortness of breath for the eternal chestnut tree. However, we should not expect an immediate change: this new rhythm would only take place after the release of the next episode of call of duty, still planned for this year 2022, if Activison adopts the idea.

Suda51 (No More Heroes) spoke with Marvel about possible projects

Published

on

Goichi Suda rarely has his tongue in his pocket and proves it once again with a small bomb, dropped with his typical phlegm: there would be love in the air between the one we nickname Suda51 and studios Marvelfor a possible collaboration…

In an interview for the Automaton site and reported by the site VideoGamesChroniclesGoichi Suda details the future plans of his studio Grasshopper Manufacture, and discusses interesting meetings with Marvel.

No More Heroes – XSEED Games

New to come… and Marvel?

Three games are thus planned over the next 10 years for Grasshoper Manufacture. The priority of the Japanese studio remains focused on the creation of original licenses: “Until now, we have worked with publishers who have their own intellectual properties, and we have been given budgets to make commissions for them; That’s often how it works for indie studios” explains Suda51. “From now on, we would like to create three new licenses and release them one by one.”

But very quickly, the creator of the franchise No More Heroes claims to always want to work on third-party licenses”interesting“, and clutches on an interesting information on this subject. “I think that will depend on our discussions with Marvel Studios. If Marvel Studios comes up with a good idea, we’ll think about it” confides Suda51, with a certain sense of playfulness. “But we had a few meetings with Marvel, and we discussed the possibility of working together on a project. We hope the power of video games will help us accelerate these opportunities..”

Deadpool, always Deadpool

It would seem that fate absolutely wants to bring the Japanese game designer and the creations from the Marvel catalog closer together. Last October, Goichi told an interesting anecdote during an interview for VideoGamesChronicles. We thus learned that the Activision group had approached Suda51 for a possible collaboration through the production of a game featuring Deadpool, the troublemaker of Marvel. A project which did not finally see the light of day—but which seems to have given ideas to the Japanese designer. Thus, Suda reaffirmed last September his desire to work on “a Shatterstar or Deadpool game“…

Rumor: Need for Speed for the end of the year, Dragon Age 4 aims for 2023

Published

on

What can we expect from Electronic Arts for this year 2022? While the American publisher is still trying to save what remains of the industrial accident Battlefield 2042, the return of another franchise would also be in preparation for this end of the year, while another would simply have preferred to take off around 2023.

In any case, this is what journalist Tom Henderson is saying on Twitter: a new Need for Speed would be scheduled for fall 2022, and Dragon Age 4 will have to wait a while longer…

Heading into fall?

Previously called in for reinforcement on the development of Battlefield 2042, the Criterion Games studio would have finally taken over the project Need for Speed at full throttle, with a release planned around next September and October… No further information for the moment. But given the timing, we shouldn’t have to wait long to learn more about it. If E3 doesn’t seem like a guaranteed event right now, Electronic Arts is sure to host its now annual EA Play conference in the middle of June, with potential new announcements on the way—and a call from the bitumen, if these rumors turn out to be true.

It is nevertheless a safe bet that this Need for Speed is well planned for this year. Henderson is thus not at his first leak: last September, the American journalist teased the announcement of star wars eclipse, the Quantic Dreams game subsequently formalized at the beginning of December 2021. In addition, Electronic Arts had already mentioned the release of a game Need for Speed in a financial report published in… 2020. Time flies.

In a less optimistic genre, Henderson gives news of the project Dragon Age 4. Its development has recently undergone some changes and is now turning exclusively to next-gen consoles and PC; but at the moment, no release date has been announced… And if the last echoes suggested that it would not arrive before next spring, this new game could simply be delayed for next year. In the meantime, as always, more information…
