The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti draws around 450-500W under load. According to all available data, the RTX 4090 will draw around 600W, and Nvidia is allegedly already working on some kind of accelerator that will have a TGP of 900W. It turns out that the RTX 3090 Ti can already consume about the same amount.

To be more precise, the XOC BIOS has appeared on the Web, where the card’s power limit has been increased to 890 W! This does not mean that the adapter will consume that much, but the limitation is certainly impressive.

Such a BIOS is needed for extreme overclocking. For example, when using top-end EVGA or Galax cards equipped with a pair of new 16-pin PCIe 5.0 power connectors. With one such connector, the card cannot consume significantly more than 600 watts.

It is not yet clear what the actual power consumption of the RTX 3090 Ti will be under extreme overclocking, but the figure of 890 watts hints at an estimated limit. It remains to wait for the corresponding 3D maps and their testing.

Aya Neo has announced Aya Neo Air and Aya Neo 2 handheld game consoles. Aya NeoAir is the first Windows-based handheld console with an OLED screen, while Aya Neo 2 is powered by AMD Ryzen 6800U chipset.

Aya Neo Air is equipped with a modern vibration motor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a USB-C port and a microSD card slot. It also has RGB lighting and speaker holes on both sides. The Aya Neo Air is very similar to the Nintendo Switch Lite but powerful enough to match the Steam Deck.

Aya Neo is equipped with a 6-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution screen that covers 109% of the NTSC color space. Aya Neo Air is based on the Ryzen 5000 APU. The device weighs about 420 grams.

The Aya Neo Air is available for pre-order now in China, where the device is priced at $647.

The Aya Neo model has a 5.5-inch OLED screen and AMD Ryzen 6800U chipset, which is the first to be used in a handheld game console. There are no details about the device, but it is known that it will be released at the end of the year.

Bloomberg talks about iOS 16 and Apple Watch non invasive blood

Editor Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has published new information about the iOS 16 operating system, which is due to be announced at Apple’s WWDC developer conference. The event will begin on June 6 this year.

A Bloomberg writer was asked which of Apple’s operating systems he thought would get the most attention at WWDC, and he replied: “As usual, it will probably be iOS. In this case, iOS 16.” Gurman added that he doesn’t expect a “complete redesign” of the operating system, but expects to see what he calls “new ways to interact.” The update, he said, will include “fresh Apple apps.” Gurman said last month that he expects iOS 16 to bring a new updated notification system and new health tracking capabilities.

Earlier leaks have revealed a new “mega-widget” supposedly known internally as InfoShack. This will allow iOS users to create custom widgets. As for watchOS 9, a Bloomberg writer previously mentioned that the blood pressure sensor won’t appear on the Apple Watch until 2024 at the earliest, with users able to get a low power mode and improved scanning for atrial fibrillation (AFib).

There were rumors that a non-invasive blood glucose sensor would appear in the watch. This would save millions of insulin dependent Americans the pain and expense of donating blood before every meal. Currently, this is done by applying a drop of blood to an expensive disposable test strip to obtain a reading of a diabetic’s blood glucose levels. These readings are used to determine the dose of insulin that a diabetic should inject before eating.

However, there are many problems associated with creating such a sensor, and Mark Gurman does not expect Apple to be able to implement such a feature in its watches within a few years.
