In China, the production of the Exeed AtlantiX crossover, the most advanced brand in the line, has begun (Exeed is owned by Chery). Chinese media write that it will be no less premium than Land Rover. And judging by the published images, the car will indeed offer a new level of comfort within the brand.
When Chery released images of the AtlantiX, it wasn’t clear if it was an internal combustion engine or an electric car, but now we can say that the AtlantiX is a petrol crossover. It received a 2-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum torque of 400 Nm, an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with 7 presets for cross-country travel.
The top version of Exeed AtlantiX has a 24-inch curved screen, SoC Snapdragon 8155 as part of a multimedia entertainment system, a 5G modem, and a projection screen. So far, alas, there is no data on when sales of Exeed AtlantiX will start and how much it will cost, but it is already clear that it will not be very expensive.
A promising $120,000 Interstellar electric SUV has been photographed in China. They promise cross-country ability no worse than that of Cybertruck
Photo spies filmed a camouflaged SUV on the roads of China. According to the source, these photos show a promising electric car of the new Interstellar brand, behind which stands the industry leader, BYD. It will be a very expensive car with outstanding off-road potential.
There are not as many details about the project as we would like, but it is reported that the car will receive motor-wheels and a fully controlled chassis (4WS) – both the front and rear wheels will turn. The cross-country ability will be no worse than that of some Cybertruck, high power and very good dynamics are also promised. It is expected that the car will receive the Huawei platform, on the basis of which the functions of the autonomous driving system will work (two lidars are attributed at once).
The premiere of the new Interstellar brand may take place as early as August, and the first car (the one in the photo, but already in commercial form) in the fourth quarter of this year. Sales of new items should start in the first half of 2023. The price of an SUV is also called – from 120 to almost 240 thousand dollars.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced today that the company will begin deliveries of its Semi electric truck with a range of about 800 km this year, with a Cybertruck with the same range coming in 2023.
At the time of the announcement of the Tesla Semi in 2017, the automaker said that production versions of the 36-ton electric truck would have a range of about 480 and 800 km at a price of $150,000 and $180,000, respectively. The truck can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 20 seconds, even with a huge load. Pre-orders began to be accepted in May of this year with a deposit of $20,000.
As for the Cybertruck, Musk recently acknowledged that the company would not be able to sell a vehicle with the features and price it announced in 2019, when the pickup truck was introduced.

Honda and Sony team up to take on Tesla
Honda and Sony have decided to compete with the American company Tesla in the electric car market, as stated in an interview with the Nikkei newspaper by the president of the automaker, Toshihiro Mibe.
When asked by the Nikkei about whether Honda and Sony are ready to beat the American company in the electric car market, he answered as follows:
We will not play catch-up with Tesla, instead we will bring new, original value to our products. Nevertheless, we intend to make Tesla a worthy competitor.
Honda and Sony plan to create a venture company Sony Honda Mobility during 2022, which will develop and manufacture electric vehicles. Primary production will take place at existing Honda plants. In doing so, Sony will offer digital services for the upcoming mobile platform.
We are very pleased to have signed a joint venture agreement with Sony, which has strengths in advanced digital technology. and shares our desire to take on new challenges.
The news follows Sony’s announcement of its intention to become an electric vehicle brand. The company introduced the Vision S 02 concept car at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year.
Sales of new cars will begin in 2025.
