The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, designated SM-X906N, is listed in Geekbench 5 database. The top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC is attributed to the device, but the performance is still poor. 1215 points in a single-threaded test and 3159 points in a multi-threaded one – this is approximately the level of Snapdragon 888. However, as the platform and drivers are improved, the performance should increase to a level corresponding to the flagship solution.

When exactly the new tablets will be released is unknown. Perhaps they will be presented at the end of August at the Unpacked event, where new folding smartphones are usually announced.

Changes in Samsung’s plans are due to the situation in the market. In particular, falling demand for mobile devices and PCs.

The decline in demand is also expected to disrupt Samsung’s plans to manufacture and ship tablets this year. Late last year, the company set a target of 400,000 S8 Ultra models, 900,000 S8 Plus models, and 1.2 million base Tab S8 models.
