An insider known on Twitter under the nickname Ice Universe told which company will be the first to release a smartphone with a 200 megapixel camera. Recall that Samsung has such a sensor, and it was expected that the world’s first smartphone equipped with Samsung ISOCELL HP1 would be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. However, according to an insider, the first smartphone with a 200-megapixel camera will be a model under the Moto brand, which belongs to Lenovo.

Lenovo’s flagship on a single-chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform is expected in December – it will be Moto Edge X. And it is possible that it will be the first in the world to receive a 200 megapixel image sensor. At least, the brand has repeatedly hinted that the Moto Edge X will be a completely extraordinary smartphone.

After that, in the second half of next year, Xiaomi will have a 200-megapixel smartphone, and in 2023 a 200-megapixel sensor will appear in Samsung’s flagship – probably the Galaxy S23 Ultra. As usual, the sensor developer is in no hurry to use it in their smartphones.

Ice Universe is a trusted and trusted insider. He has previously reported accurate data on Samsung’s image sensors on several occasions prior to their official premiere, and was also the first to show accurate images of smartphones with waterfall screens.

Huawei P60 will be weaker than P50 and even P40

It seems that the Huawei P60 smartphone will not be a flagship in any form. The device lit up in the Geekbench database, where it showed an average result.

Huawei P60 will be weaker than P50 and even P40. The novelty lit up in the benchmark is not at all with the flagship platform

More precisely, 550 and 2269 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. Details speak of eight cores in two clusters and an Adreno 642L GPU. And this means that the novelty will be based on the SoC Snapdragon 778G. The platform, of course, is excellent in its class, but far from the flagship.

Moreover, due to this platform, the Huawei P60 will be slower than the P50 with its Snapdragon 888, and even the Huawei P40 will be slightly faster since it is based on the Kirin 990.

At the same time, we do not yet know the prices, and it is not clear whether they will correspond to the level of performance. As for the rest, the P60 was previously credited with a main camera based on the Sony IMX789 sensor.

This battery bypass system has an advantage in cases where the phone is used for a long time under load. For example, in games. If you power the device and simultaneously charge the battery, then you need high power, which is accompanied by significant heating of the phone.

The experiment showed that in the game, when the phone is powered in the usual way (through the battery), the consumption is 17 W, and if the battery bypass system is enabled, the consumption will be only 6 W – three times less. Naturally, the phone will heat up minimally. Moreover, this technology allows you to extend the life of the battery, as the number of full charge and discharge cycles is reduced.
