The first smartphone on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be presented on December 9, but it is already available for order in China. And this is not Xiaomi 12
Rumors that the first smartphone on the new top-end SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will not appear from Xiaomi, as it has been for several years in a row, has been confirmed: Lenovo has bypassed Xiaomi with its Motorola brand. The first will be the Motorola Edge X30, and it is already available for ordering on Chinese online sites. For example, at JD.com.
This is what the first flagship on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 looks like And it’s already available to order in China
The official premiere of Motorola Edge X30 will take place on December 9 in China. The announcement of Xiaomi 12, according to rumors, will take place only at the very end of the month – December 28. By that time, Edge X30 will already go on sale. But in addition to the new flagship SoC, this model has a lot of interesting things, so the volume of pre-orders promises to be considerable. Will Xiaomi’s SoCs be enough for its flagship?
The official premiere of Motorola Edge X30 will take place on December 9
While it is difficult to answer this question, given the general shortage of components in the industry, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be very popular. All major smartphone manufacturers have already announced the release of devices based on it: Oppo, OnePlus, iQOO, ZTE / Red Magic, Realme.
Samsung is silent for now, but no one doubts that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be used in the flagships of the Galaxy S22 series. And their premiere is expected about a month after Xiaomi 12 – at the end of January (sales start in February). In general, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be very popular, but Dimensity 9000 should also attract a lot of attention, MediaTek expects to take a 20-30% share of the flagship device market with it. And this is quite possible, since the Dimensity 9000 is comparable in performance to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but it will be cheaper.

Periscope telephoto, 8 GB of RAM and a huge screen in a smartphone for $218. Presented Hisense H60

Hisense has released a very unusual smartphone H60. Unusual it is not at all in design, but in terms of price and parameters.
Judging by the available data, in China the novelty will cost only about 218 dollars. At the same time, for example, there is a periscope telephoto. This 8 MP camera provides 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. There is also a 48MP main camera and a depth sensor. That is, unlike some even flagship smartphones, there is no width in the set, but there is a telephoto lens, and also a periscope one.
The H60 also received 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, which at $218 is a very good deal. One of the secrets of the low price is the platform. This is Unisoc T7520 (Recently, some sources of the Unisoc platform are called Ziguang, but Ziguang is simply part of the Tsinghua Unigroup holding).
The Unisoc T7520 isn’t a top platform, but it’s built on a 6nm process and offers 5G support, four Cortex-A76 cores, four Cortex-A55 cores, a Mali-G57 GPU, and Snapdragon 750G-level performance.
Returning to the smartphone, it is also equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18-watt charging and a 6.81-inch 60-Hz screen.
