The GPD XP Handheld Game Console is now on sale. The first modular Android game console offers a 6.81-inch display, MediaTek Helio G95 octa-core platform, 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.

The game console offers three control modules including Xbox controller, FPS controller and MOBA controller modules. The last two are intended for fans of first person shooters and multiplayer MOBA games. The console also includes an active fan for heat dissipation. There is a button reconfiguration function, a large loudspeaker and a 7000 mAh battery with support for 20-watt charging.

A 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, and a SIM card slot are provided. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display has a density of 388 PPI and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The game console received 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory. The console measures 233mm x 83mm x 18mm and weighs 370 grams.

PlayStation Spartacus will offer access to games for PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and PS5, as well as PSP

As it became known, Sony is preparing a new PlayStation Spartacus service, which will feature games from the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and possibly PlayStation Portable consoles. Scheduled to launch next fall, it will be a response to Microsoft’s Xbox Gamepass service.

The source of Bloomberg was a Sony employee who asked to remain anonymous. He has access to documents with such information. PlayStation Spartacus will be integrated with other services of the company: PS Plus and PS Now. The new service will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

The PlayStation Spartacus will be split into three categories, in one of which users will be able to stream classic games from PS1, PS2, PS3 as well as PSP. Another category will have an extensive catalog of options for the PS4, and a third for the PS5. At the same time, the service will not include games from the PS Vita, which Sony itself considers a failure.

It remains to wait and see when the service will be launched and how widespread it will be. PS Now, for example, is not available in all countries of the world.
