The first MacBook on ARM will be cheaper than expected

Apple is preparing to release its first laptop based on the ARM chipset, and now more and more information about the novelty appears on the Web. Now there is insider information, according to which the new Apple laptop will not only have quite good characteristics, like an Apple ultrabook, but will also be relatively inexpensive.

The first MacBook based on the ARM chipset will be equipped with a 12-inch Retina display, will receive 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM, from 256 GB to 1 TB of internal memory (SSD), impressive autonomy of up to 20 hours, one USB-C port for charging and working with external media and devices, as well as a keyboard like a “butterfly” of the fourth generation, although it looks rather doubtful against the background of how Apple abandons it in all new models.

Interestingly, the laptop will be really light – the weight will be about 0.9 kilograms. Users will be able to choose from silver, dark gray and gold versions. The most important parameter of the laptop will be its price, which will be from $ 849 for the starter kit (students will have a discount of $ 50). Thus, the first MacBook on ARM has every chance to become the cheapest Apple laptop of all time.
