Samsung launched the Galaxy XCover Pro smartphone in 2020. Two years later, the company is going to introduce a successor to this model, which will be called the Galaxy XCover Pro 2. It is worth recalling that we are talking about a line of rugged phones from the South Korean manufacturer.
According to SamMobile, Samsung is working on a new rugged smartphone with model number SM-G736B. The publication suggests that this phone will be presented under the name Galaxy XCover 2 and will be the first 5G smartphone in the Galaxy XCover line. All models released so far, including last year’s Galaxy XCover 5, are limited to 4G LTE support.
The Galaxy XCover Pro 2 may come with a removable battery like other Galaxy XCover devices. The device could be based on the Galaxy A53, as its predecessor has a lot in common with the Galaxy A51. Therefore, Samsung can equip the Galaxy XCover Pro 2 with its own Exynos 1280 single-chip system.
The phone should receive four years of Android updates and five years of security updates.
The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) has published a press release on the satisfaction of Americans with certain brands and devices. In this document, we are most interested in smartphones.
And here the leader was the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. It could be said that this is unexpected, since in the US Samsung is still about half behind Apple in sales, but in fact a year earlier, the Samsung device was also in the lead in a similar list, and two years ago the company’s smartphones occupied all the first three places.
Be that as it may, the flagship of 2020 became the leader, which at the time of release was scolded for various shortcomings and features. Unexpectedly, LG Aristo 3, unknown outside the US, took second place. Moreover, this is a budget smartphone in 2019 on the SoC Snapdragon 425! How he even got on the leaderboard is completely unclear. Closes the top three iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Also on the leaderboard are HTC U12+, Pixel 4 and iPhone XR. In general, the list turned out to be as diverse as possible.
If we talk about brands, here Samsung and Apple share the first line of the rating with 80 points each. The top five also includes Google, Motorola and LG.
A photo of covers allegedly intended for Apple’s new generation smartphones has appeared on the Web. The authenticity of the image cannot be verified, but in general everything looks plausible.
The two larger cases are for iPhone 14 Max and 14 Pro Max. The other two are made for the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro.
The difference in camera cutouts indicates that the lower models are likely to retain the two-sensor configuration, while the older ones will get three. At the same time, if we compare these cases with cases for current models, it becomes clear that the dimensions of the camera blocks will grow again, which allows us to hope for even better photos and videos. Recall that numerous rumors suggest that the older smartphones of the new generation will receive new 48-megapixel image sensors for the main cameras.
Nvidia video cards of the new generation are credited with incredible gluttony up to 600 watts of power consumption. True, the latest data allows us to hope that at least the GeForce RTX 4090 will require only 450 watts. But the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, if it comes out, will obviously consume more.
One would think that a card with such appetites could only have a liquid or, in extreme cases, a hybrid approval, but perhaps an air one would suffice. This is indicated by photos of the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition cooler, which appeared on the Web today.
Without a direct comparison, it is not so easy to estimate the dimensions, but you can still see that the radiator is huge. It’s very big on current top Nvidia cards, but here it’s even bigger.
At the same time, one can only guess whether even such a monstrous CO is enough to cool a card with a consumption of 600 W.
It also cannot be ruled out that this is just one of the prototypes of the cooler, and as a result the card will receive a different CO. Also, it could be a fake. But it is worth remembering that the photos of the GeForce RTX 3080 cooler at one time also appeared long before the announcement of the video cards themselves.
