The first Gigabyte laptop with GeForce RTX 4090 is already available for order. Aorus 17X with 240Hz QHD screen and Core i9-13900HX is asking for almost $4,000
The Gigabyte Aorus 17X laptop is now available for pre-order in the US. This is the first manufacturer’s model with the top 3D accelerator Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. Also in the configuration is the top Intel processor – i9-Core i9-13900HX.
The Aorus 17X has a 17.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a 240Hz frame rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The SSD capacity is 2 TB, DDR5-5600 MHz RAM is 32 GB (although the maximum for this model is 64 GB). There are also Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 adapters, Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled.
Gigabyte Aorus 17X received a powerful cooling system with a large evaporation chamber and four fans, and a 330W power supply was included in the package. The weight of the laptop is 2.8 kg, and the price in the US is $3,900. Pre-order will last until February 8, after which free sales will start.

System76 – a well-known manufacturer of Linux systems – introduced the Gazelle laptop. This model is equipped with a 14-core Intel Core i9-13900H processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 3D accelerator, making it one of the most powerful laptops preloaded with Linux. The OS here is either Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS.
Gazelle has two options – with screens with a diagonal of 15.6 and 17.3 inches, but apart from the dimensions there are no differences: the specifications are the same, and even the screen parameters are the same – Full HD resolution and a frame rate of 144 Hz.
The maximum RAM (DDR4-3200 MHz) is 64 GB, the maximum SSD is 8 TB (there are two M.2 slots). The configuration also includes Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 adapters, stereo speakers, a 1 MP webcam, and a 54 Wh battery. The weight of the 15-inch model is 1.99 kg, the 17-inch model is 2.41 kg. The cost is from 1300 dollars.
The range of MSI has replenished with a new monitor – G253PF. The device uses a 24.5-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution and a high frame rate of 380Hz. The declared pixel response time (GtG) is only 1 ms, the maximum brightness and contrast are 300 cd/sq.m. and 1000 : 1, respectively.
The MSI G253PF complies with the DisplayHDR 400 standard and supports Adaptive Sync and G-Sync frequency synchronization technologies. There are two video inputs – DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b, but the maximum frequency is available only when connected via the first one. If connected via HDMI 2.0b, the maximum frequency will be 240 Hz.

The GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card won’t be as expensive as some rumors have recently claimed. Resource Videocardz says that at the last press briefing Nvidia called the price of $ 600.
This is in line with the recommended price of the RTX 3070 Ti at launch. It also means the RTX 4070 will be $200 cheaper than the RTX 4070 Ti when you factor in the latter’s discounted price. The RTX 4070 Ti started at $900, but then Nvidia lowered the price.
The specs we’ve mentioned so many times before are still being confirmed. The RTX 4070 will feature 5888 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X memory, and a 192-bit bus at a TDP of 200W.
