The first flagship of independent Honor showed up in a high-quality photo before the announcement

The Honor V40, Honor’s first smartphone since independence from Huawei, was slated to unveil on January 12, in conjunction with the launch of Honor’s official online store, but the company has confirmed that the announcement has been pushed back to January 18.

Now the first photo of the Honor V40 ad from a Chinese retail store has appeared. For the first time, we can evaluate not only the front, but also the rear panel of the device. The phone will receive a rectangular camera with a new design.

The smartphone has previously been spotted in the popular GameBench test app, which has confirmed to be powered by a Dimensity 1000+ single-chip system with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The Honor V40 is expected to feature a 6.72-inch FHD + display with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz sensor polling rate.

The Honor V40 is also expected to support 66W wired fast charging and 45W wireless charging. Previous rumors indicated that the Honor V40 would not have physical volume keys due to the waterfall screen.

However, the photo confirms the presence of power and volume buttons on the right panel.
