The first ever Genesis coupe-crossover GV80 Coupe and its brother GV80 are presented
Genesis introduced the Genesis GV80 Coupe and GV80. The interior of the automaker’s first coupe-crossover features a 27-inch display, which is inherited from the standard GV80.
From the front, the models look identical, with sportier air intakes on the bumper. However, a closer look reveals that the GV80 Coupe has additional slits under the grille and the GV80 has a slightly different skid plate design.
At the rear, the production version of the Genesis GV80 Coupe doesn’t get the concept’s full-length LED taillights, but does retain a rear spoiler. The rear bumper also differs from the standard GV80 with a black surround around the diffuser and four tailpipes.
The Genesis GV80 Coupe is 4,965 mm long, 25 mm longer than the GV80 due to the slightly extended rear overhang. The Genesis GV80 Coupe is also 5mm lower due to the lack of roof rails, and they share the same width and wheelbase.
The 27-inch OLED display combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system into one unit. The center console has also been redesigned to include a combination of touchscreen controls and physical knobs for the HVAC system, a new wireless smartphone charging tray and larger cup holders.
High-quality materials such as leather, aluminum and wood create a premium ambience, combined with a two-tone Bentley-style steering wheel and ambient lighting. Other features include a 14.6-inch rear-seat display, four-zone climate control, a fragrance system, heated armrests, crystal grips and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. The GV80 Coupe features a cut-off steering wheel, metal pedal accents, and exclusive interior packages with different color combinations than the GV80.
The updated GV80 is available with either a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 300 hp. and torque of 422 Nm, or with a 3.5-liter turbo V6 engine producing 375 hp. In addition to these options, the GV80 Coupe is also offered with a more powerful version of the 3.5-liter V6 engine with a 48-volt electric supercharger that increases output to 409 hp. The same engine is offered in the flagship G90 sedan.
GV80 Coupe drivers have access to an active exhaust system for a sportier sound and can customize brake pedal response. In addition, the most powerful GV80 coupe gets an exclusive Sports+ driving mode, launch control and new graphics for the digital instrument cluster displaying oil temperature, torque and turbo pressure.
Both GV80 models are equipped with systems such as Preview electronic suspension control, AI-powered automatic Terrain mode and an upgraded ADAS package that improves safety along with 10 airbags.

The car didn’t even have back seats. Oddities of the base 2024 Toyota Tacoma

Yesterday we talked about the Toyota Tacoma 2024, which entered the US market, and today details appeared about its simplest version – the SR. It turned out that with a one and a half cabin there are no more seats in the back. At all.
The current Tacoma with the exact same body has seats. Even though they are folding, they are there. The Takoma 2024 doesn’t even have reclining seats: all the space behind the seats can only be used for transporting things. But this solution looks rather strange for a one and a half cabin.
At the same time, the Tacoma SR 2024 received an improved media system with an 8-inch screen and support for wireless (!) Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols, and the database already has a set of security systems Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (for comparison, for its analogue in Chevrolet Colorado has to pay almost 2.5 thousand dollars extra).
The most important innovation is under the hood: replacing the 2.7-liter naturally aspirated engine with 159 hp. came a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine with 228 hp. The dynamics have become better, but you will have to operate the manual transmission: in the basic version it is a manual transmission.
Prices in the USA range from 33 to 38.5 thousand dollars. The top-of-the-line 2024 Tacoma SR will have a full cab with a back seat, all-wheel drive, and even a 270-horsepower engine. (still the same 2.4-liter), but the gearbox is still manual.

This is the BMW X3 2025 with different nostrils. The new product was shown in high-quality images

The German automaker has been criticized for the design of its cars in recent years, and according to spy photos of the 2025 BMW X3 that surfaced this fall, the manufacturer has changed some elements.
The following images were created by Sugar Design based on photos of the prototype. There are fewer lines visible on the body of the new model, and the handles are located flush with the body.
The front grille may be perceived differently by fans. The nostrils will become larger, and they will abandon the traditional vertical slats in favor of glossy black plastic. The fenders and headlights have changed, which are similar in shape to the headlights of the X1 and the new 5 Series.
A test prototype has revealed that the new X3 will feature LED taillights that are radically different from the current model’s taillights, and Sugar Design has shown what they could look like.
Powered by petrol and diesel engines (for markets outside North America), as well as hybrid powertrains, the model is rumored to continue using an updated version of the current CLAR architecture. The all-electric iX3 is expected to ride on BMW’s Neue Klasse platform.
The next-generation X3 is expected to be unveiled in mid-2024.

Toyota abandoned the corporate logo, replacing it with a blue dot on cars equipped with hybrid powertrains

Since 2009, Toyota has used a blue halo on its T badge on vehicles equipped with hybrid powertrains. The new Camry doesn’t have that badge, despite being a pure hybrid.
Instead of a blue accent on the badge, the Toyota Camry gets a blue dot on the trunk next to the letters HEV. Toyota confirmed that the new circle is intended to symbolize “the happiness of people living on earth and the desire to pass it on to the next generation.”
The new blue circle will replace the previous prominent badge on new Toyota hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery electric vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles, a company representative who spoke with Motor Trend confirmed. Those changes start with models like the Camry, Crown and the automaker’s best-known hybrid, the Prius.
Other electrified cars like the RAV4, Venza and Corolla have retained the blue badges, but only because they haven’t been updated yet. Soon a blue dot will also appear on them.
It’s all part of the automaker’s “Beyond Zero” marketing campaign, which involves using electrified vehicles to “go beyond carbon neutrality with our products” and “have a positive impact on our planet and society.”
