The Firefox browser now has a built-in page translator that works even without the Internet
Mozilla has announced the release of an update to its Firefox browser. In version number 118, users will find a significant innovation – a built-in translator for entire pages, which is significantly different from the translation services of competitors, including Google Translate or Microsoft Bing Translator.
The Firefox 118 release note notes:
Automatic translation of web content is now available to Firefox users! Unlike cloud-based alternatives, translation is done locally in Firefox, so the translated text never leaves your computer.
Simply put, the translator does not require a connection to servers and can work offline; during translation, the data does not leave the user’s computer and is not sent to Microsoft, Google or other companies.
If the user has opened a website in a supported language that is different from the browser’s default language, a translation icon will appear in the address bar. When you click PIR, a pop-up window appears asking from which language and into which language you want to translate. If your browser does not automatically detect the language of a website, you can set it manually. You can also select the settings “always translate” or “never translate”.
Now for the bad news: Firefox full-page translation currently only supports 9 languages:
- Bulgarian
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Italian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Spanish
Mozilla notes that there are other limitations. For example, the tool may not handle websites with mixed language content very well, and there is no translation of text from images or videos.

Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series presented in Modelista version

The classic 70 Series Toyota Land Cruiser has returned to Japan after a 9-year hiatus, and Toyota’s in-house tuning shop, Modelista, has offered a selection of optional accessories for personalization.
Modelista offers exterior modifications to the Land Cruiser 70 Series using components from Japanese tuning house Jaos, known for its SUV expertise. These improvements include upgrading the front bumper with vertical LED strips and adding additional skid plates. Buyers also have the option of installing aluminum skid plates on both sides, and the fog lamps will get a yellow tint.
The car features a new set of 18-inch aluminum wheels with a more sophisticated design and bronze finish. These wheels are paired with Yokohama Geolandar off-road tires. The Jaos roof rack and luggage compartment enhance the Land Cruiser’s cargo-carrying capabilities. A rubber trunk mat is included to help keep the interior clean during outdoor activities that may include hauling dirty equipment. Modelista adds a touch of retro flair to the Land Cruiser’s interior with woodgrain accents. Additionally, the tuner offers standard LED interior lighting, tinted glass, license plate bolts and more.
In addition, Land Cruiser 70 owners can also choose from a catalog of genuine Toyota accessories. Highlights include vintage red and yellow decals, a Land Cruiser silhouette spare tire cover and window visors.
The most expensive modification will be a new set of wheels, which sells for $3,000. A roof rack costs $1,500, while the bumper and skid plates cost $1,300. Decals cost $440 and woodgrain inserts cost $450. In Japan, the base model 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 70 costs $32,500.

Chevrolet Suburban 2025 and Tahoe 2025 presented

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban and 2025 Tahoe. The most obvious changes are visible at the front, where a Silverado EV-style fascia has been added. The larger daytime running lights are housed in gloss black housings. Standard on all models is a high-gloss black grille, and some trims have unique textures up front—like the Z71’s black mesh and High Country Galvano chrome trim.
The sporty RST and the flagship High Country now offer massive 24-inch wheels as an option. Overall, the new Tahoe and Suburban look the same as before. But there are more changes inside. Every trim comes standard with a new 17.7-inch touchscreen and 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster. A redesigned instrument panel improves visibility. The gear selector (previously a set of buttons on the center console) is again located on the steering column. The console has also been slightly redesigned, and a power armrest with hidden storage underneath returns to the range as a gimmicky option.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain, and the electronics package also includes some new features. Towing is reportedly made easier with a new app that takes into account the length and width of the trailer to estimate the path when turning and driving forward, monitoring the health of your trailer’s tires, and a boat launching guide that provides step-by-step instructions. The cloud-connected camera system provides owners with a live video feed via a smartphone app.
The 2025 Suburban and Tahoe come standard with automatic emergency braking, lane-centering technology, blind-spot monitoring, front and side pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, the advanced Super Cruise driver assistance package will be available on LT, RST, Premier and High Country trims – previously only offered on the latter two trims.
A sophisticated rear-seat monitoring system sensitive enough to detect heartbeat and breathing patterns is standard. There is also an internal chamber.
Chevrolet’s proven 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel will now be offered in Z71 trim in 2025, with the automaker saying many of its customers wanted the efficiency and smoothness of the inline-six engine, as well as the capabilities of the off-road package. What’s more, the Suburban and Tahoe now get a high-performance diesel version that produces 305 hp. The 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 petrol engines remain unchanged.
Chevy says the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban will have more responsive handling thanks to a retuned steering system and an updated multi-link rear suspension.
Prices for the 2025 Suburban and 2025 Tahoe have not been disclosed.
