The Blue Screen of Death returns to Windows 11

Microsoft has released another test update of the new Windows 11 operating system for members of the Windows Insider program.

As with all Windows 11 updates released so far, the update contains a very long list of fixed issues and bugs. Among other things, update 22000.346 fixes rendering issues with the new taskbar and Start menu, issues with adjusting Bluetooth audio volume, issues with launching 32-bit applications, and various printing issues.

Among other things, enthusiasts noticed the cancellation of one of the cosmetic innovations in Windows 11 – “Black Screen of Death”. The latest update changes the color of the screen with a message about a critical system error – the good old “Blue Screen of Death” (BSoD) returns to the OS, as in previous versions of Windows.

Updates usually arrive in the Release Preview channel a few days or weeks before they go public in the stable release. You can expect the Blue Screen of Death to be available soon for all Windows 11 PCs.

Judging by the entry, the company did not expect that it would be able to get the processors so quickly.

GPD Win Max 2 was introduced back in March, but with a Core i7-1280P processor, but its graphics subsystem is no match for the iGPU in the Ryzen 7 6800U.

As a result, before the end of the year, at least two more portable set-top boxes with Windows that can handle modern games should appear on the market. True, apparently, in both cases we are talking about a Full HD screen, which creates an additional load on the GPU. For the same Steam Deck, the resolution is HD.
