The best gadget for people with insomnia. Xiaomi introduced a high-tech pillow that guarantees falling asleep in 1 second

Xiaomi, on its Youpin co-financing platform, today unveiled a high-tech device that will be appreciated by all people with sleep problems. The novelty is called succinctly: a pillow for fast falling asleep. This device differs from an ordinary pillow as much as a monkey differs from a person. And the point here is the so-called “black technologies”, which have nothing to do with black magic.
The principle of operation of the pillow can be described as follows. Inside there are special sensors in the amount of 56 pieces that capture the signals of human brain waves. The data is transmitted to the central processor, where it is analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms. Then a coil comes into play, creating a magnetic field that is most favorable for the received brain waves. A delta wave (below 4 GHz) is generated at the same time. All of this combined causes drowsiness, even in people with persistent insomnia. Reportedly, the technology (it received the designation EEG AIR, which can be translated as “airborne encephalography”) was approved by the US Department of Health 12 years ago, but implemented in a consumer device for the first time.
This is what one of 56 sensors looks like.
However, EEG AIR is the main part of pillow innovations, but it is far from the only one. So, for example, it dynamically adjusts to the peculiarities of the anatomy of a particular person, is equipped with ultra-precise pressure sensors and, due to the same AI, can adjust height, volume, hardness in accordance with a person’s height, head weight and other parameters. This reduces the pressure on the intervertebral discs and reduces muscle fatigue. All in all, the Xiaomi Rapid Sleep Pillow ensures high quality sleep in every possible way.
Xiaomi would not be itself if it did not provide for the integration of the device with a smartphone. You can control the pillow functions and track sleep statistics using the proprietary Mijia application. The first participants in the collective funding program will receive a pillow for free, but the device will not be cheap at all in retail – $ 1,500.
