The Chinese company Realme has introduced the European version of the Realme 7i, which is very different from the version of the Realme 7i for the Asian market that debuted in September.

The differences are quite dramatic – instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, MediaTek is now used and the amount of RAM has been halved, the changes also affected other important components, for example, the camera and screen (no 90 Hz). Plus, the “revision” affected only the battery – the capacity increased from 5000 to 6000 mAh.

When converted to the current exchange rate, the price slightly decreased – 160 euros (194 dollars) in Europe against 215 dollars in Asia.

The European Realme 7i can be called a “facelifted” version of the Indian model Narzo 20 – their characteristics are almost identical.

The Realme 7i smartphone for Europe is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD + screen (1600 x 720 pixels), an 8 MP front camera, a triple main camera (48 MP main, 8 MP ultra wide-angle and 2 MP macro), MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4 GB RAM and 64GB internal flash memory. Supports 18W charging.

The smartphone has an Android 10 operating system with a Realme UI shell. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g / n), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS are supported, there is a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Everything ingenious is simple Samsung Galaxy S23 gets a charging

Samsung has implemented an ingeniously simple solution in its latest flagship Galaxy S23. There is an item in the menu called Pause USB Power Delivery. When activated, the phone’s battery will not be charged, instead the device will be powered directly from the power supply.

This battery bypass system has an advantage in cases where the phone is used for a long time under load. For example, in games. If you power the device and simultaneously charge the battery, then you need high power, which is accompanied by significant heating of the phone.

The experiment showed that in the game, when the phone is powered in the usual way (through the battery), the consumption is 17 W, and if the battery bypass system is enabled, the consumption will be only 6 W – three times less. Naturally, the phone will heat up minimally. Moreover, this technology allows you to extend the life of the battery, as the number of full charge and discharge cycles is reduced.

It is important to note that the technology works with a battery charge of more than 20%. That is, if the mains power is interrupted unexpectedly, no data in the game or application will be lost, as the phone will automatically switch to battery power.
