The affordable flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 FE failed the DxOMark benchmark. The smartphone did not even make the top 30

DxOMark has published the results of testing the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE smartphone, which was released at the end of last year as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy S20.
The smartphone scored 115 points, including 119 points for photo quality, 101 points for video, and 68 points for zoom capabilities. It was on par with the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and OnePlus 7T Pro, with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra scoring 126 points and the Galaxy S20 + scoring 118 points.
The review says that the main camera shoots well, almost like last year’s Samsung flagships, although it uses a 12-megapixel image sensor. Exposure and white balance are accurate, and detail is pretty good in nearly all scenarios. Even the ultra-wide-angle camera was praised, but the telephoto was criticized for poor detail. We also noticed a lot of noise when shooting at night.
When it comes to video recording, the Galaxy S20 FE offers good stabilization, exposure, and white balance, but it’s hard not to notice the limited dynamic range and AF instability.
