The absolute leader in the middle price segment this year. SoC Dimensity 8000 Max was faster than Snapdragon 870

A well-known insider Digital Chat Station, commenting on the test results, said that the Dimensity 8000 series will become the absolute leader in the middle price segment this year.

A few weeks ago, MediaTek announced the Dimensity 8000 and 8100 chipsets for mid-range phones. It is also known that the Dimensity 8100 Max single-chip system should appear in OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Ace. And now we have the test results for the Dimensity 8000 Max.

Oppo has shared official test results for the Dimensity 8000 Max chipset. The test was conducted on the upcoming Oppo K10 smartphone. Its frequency is only 0.1 GHz lower than the Dimensity 8100, and it is ahead of last year’s Snapdragon 870 when using all cores.

The Dimensity 8000 Max scored 927 in the single-core department and 3793 in the multi-core Geekbench 5. The Snapdragon 870 scores 1028 and 3391 respectively. And Dimensity 8100 scored 957 and 3831 points, respectively.

Besides excellent performance, Dimensity 8000 Max will also offer low power consumption. The Dimensity 8000 Max is based on TSMC’s 5nm process. This is an octa-core single-chip system with four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and four economical Cortex-A55 cores. The platform will receive a Mali-610 GPU and a MediaTek 580 APU.

Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately announce the characteristics and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12. It also regularly publishes information received from its own informants in the research and development departments of various companies.

For now, Voyager 1 is operating normally, receiving and executing commands from Earth, and collecting and returning scientific data. But readings from the Probe’s Articulation and Attitude Control System (AACS) don’t reflect what’s actually happening on board.

The AACS module controls the attitude of the 45-year-old spacecraft. Among other tasks, it keeps Voyager 1’s high-gain antenna pointed exactly at Earth, allowing it to send data back home. All signs point to AACS still working, but the telemetry it returns is invalid. For example, the data may appear to be randomly generated or not reflect any possible state that the AACS may be in.

The issue did not trigger any of the onboard fail-safe systems that are designed to put the spacecraft into “safe mode” — a state in which only essential operations are performed, giving engineers time to diagnose the problem. Voyager 1’s signal has also not weakened, indicating that the high-gain antenna remains in the prescribed orientation relative to the Earth.

NASA writes that scientists will closely monitor data from Voyager 1 until the nature of the problem becomes clearer.

Voyager 1 is currently 23.3 billion kilometers from Earth, and it takes 20 hours and 33 minutes for the signal to travel that distance. Now the device is the most distant object from the Earth, produced by mankind.

True, why 240 fps for the average gamer is completely unclear.

So far, these data should be considered as rumors, but still the first of the above goals looks more than logical. True, it is not clear whether a 40-60% increase in GPU performance will be enough to achieve it.
