Hyundai is already working on a new generation of the large Palisade crossover. Road tests of the prototype should begin this year, mass production will start in 2025. With the change of generations, the Palisade will become larger and lose the current 3.8-liter naturally aspirated engine.

How much Palisade will grow in size is not specified. The current generation with a length of 4995 millimeters has a wheelbase of 2900 mm. Obviously, the new model will exceed the mark of 5 meters in length. The wheelbase will also grow – there will be more space in the passenger compartment.

The all-new Palisade will lose not only the 3.8-liter petrol engine, but the 2.2-liter diesel engine. All this is due to the tightening of emission standards for the model range. Instead, it is planned to install a 3.5-liter turbo engine. Also, the new Palisade will receive a hybrid power plant with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and an electric motor. It is expected that its power will be 280 hp.

Less than a year after the release of the new generation, the German studio G-Power finalized the car by the German tuning studio G-Power. As a result, the evil station wagon became simply rabid.

The most important work was carried out on the motor. As a result, the power of the three-liter in-line “turbo-six” S58 was raised from 510 hp. up to 720 hp – for this, a new Performance Software GP-720 control unit and a DeepTone exhaust system were installed. Not only power has risen, but also top speed: if the base BMW M3 Touring with the M Driver’s package accelerates to 280 km / h, then the modified one – up to 322 km / h.

Interestingly, both the M xDrive all-wheel drive system and the 8-speed automatic transmission were retained, although the torque increased significantly – from 650 Nm to 850 Nm.

The tuners also offered forged Hurricane RS wheels (20-inch front and 21-inch rear), Venturti RS carbon hood, carbon aerodynamic elements for the M3 Touring.

A new device has appeared in the regiment of unusual cameras with a neural network on board. Mexican developer Diego Trujillo Pisanti created the Blind Camera project. This is a camera that is equipped with a Raspberry Pi 3 B single board computer and a neural network. But she doesn’t have a lens.

Instead, AI generates an image based on sound echoes from the surrounding world. You need to point the camera at the object, the horn on the device will pick up the sound, after which it will be analyzed by the neural network, which will create a generalized image of the source.

The developer stated that he created and trained his neural network using a set of videos. The neural network model compares the data with the materials on which it was trained and then creates an image. It looks like this:

The camera itself is made in a case that was printed on a 3D printer. It has a small screen that acts as a viewfinder, and also displays data on the processing process.

Previously, engineer Björn Karmann introduced a Paragraphica camera without a lens, but with a neural network and based on Raspberry Pi 4. It generates images based on geolocation data, weather, and so on.
