Elon Musk has announced that the next Tesla software update will bring with it an automatic interior overheat protection function.
The interior overheat protection function will work by automatically turning on the climate control system available in Tesla vehicles. This function can reduce the interior temperature if the vehicle has been left stationary for several hours in direct sunlight.
According to the Model 3 owner’s manual, cab overheat protection can operate for up to 12 hours after passengers have left the vehicle, or until the battery drops to 20%. When activated, this function can operate without air conditioning, in which case only the fan operates, or with air conditioning on when the interior temperature exceeds 40 °C.
In the manual, Tesla warns owners that their cars can become very hot even with cab overheat protection turned on. Drivers should not leave children or pets unattended in their vehicles, even if cab overheating protection is activated.
Elon Musk noted that automatic protection against cabin overheating should be of great importance in conditions of record heat.
Tesla’s automatic interior overheating protection should be very important in record heat conditions. The ability to adjust the activation temperature will be available in a future software release.

The roadster will receive two electric motors with a total power of up to 884 hp. (650 kW, 900 Nm torque), 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds, top speed of 250 km/h and WLTP range of 595 km.
Interestingly, the Polestar 6 is already being offered for booking. The manufacturer also notes that the estimated final price should be $ 200,000.
