Tesla plans to sell 20 million vehicles a year by 2030. This is the long-term goal of the company

At a meeting of Tesla’s management with investors, which took place yesterday, the company announced a new long-term goal: by 2030, Tesla plans to significantly increase its production of electric vehicles – so that they sell about 20 million a year. For comparison, according to estimates of various analysts this year the company should ship about 900-930 thousand electric vehicles. And third-quarter shipping data suggests Tesla is going to be good at it.

To increase sales 20 times in 9 years is an ambitious goal, but given the entrepreneurial spirit of Elon Musk, there is no doubt that if he does not achieve it, then he will come very close. This will require increasing the staff to at least 100,000 people. And this, in general, is not very much, since at the end of 2020 the company employed about 71,000 people.

Opening new factories is also indispensable. As Elon Musk said during the event, the company can come to grips with the issue of choosing a location for the next factory next year, and the final decision will be made in 2023. So far, different versions have been put forward about the construction site of the next Tesla plant, but one of the most frequently mentioned countries in this context is India.

It is planned that these systems will be installed in other cars of Lexus and Toyota brands.

Toyota’s next-generation infotainment system includes a high-definition widescreen widescreen touchscreen display up to 14 inches. The display area can be flexibly divided into sections and zoomed in and out, taking advantage of a combination of advanced functionality and convenience. The system has voice recognition features such as quick start in response to voice commands, car sound system, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Renesas’ R-Car single-chip systems provide the ability to import map information, images and video from user devices, including smartphones, and output to a large display. They are also responsible for functions such as touchscreen display control, voice recognition via microphone input, and audio output to multiple speakers. In addition, the built-in security features of the SoC R-Car are entrusted with secure OTA software updates.

Since the functions of the multimedia system differ depending on the car model, Toyota uses the R-Car H3 in systems for the more expensive models with the maximum equipment, and the SoC R-Car M3 can be found in other car models.

Earlier this year, Huawei unveiled its new Arcfox Alpha S electric vehicle, co-developed with BAIC and powered by the HarmonyOS operating system. The company has now officially announced that the first Arcfox Alpha S vehicles will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Arcfox Alpha S is the result of a partnership between the Chinese tech giant and the automotive brand to create an advanced vehicle with autonomous driving capabilities. The Alpha S was preceded by an investment of over a billion dollars in research and development of electric vehicles for self-driving technology.

Despite the fact that Arcfox is produced under the BAIC trademark, the main features of the new electric car are HarmonyOS and the Huawei Inside system, which means that the car can move without the help of a driver. It also has a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin SoC.

Huawei has already demonstrated its L4 self-driving technology when the Arcfox Alpha S drove 1,000 kilometers through a busy Chinese city without any human intervention. The car managed to achieve this with the help of laser rangefinders, two dozen different radars and 12 cameras.

The car is offered at prices ranging from $ 60,000 to $ 66,000 in various trim levels.
