We have already told you that the US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recognized the Tesla Model Y 2024 as one of the safest cars. However, 21 other models received the same (highest) Top Safety Pick+ rating. According to IIHS tests, all of them provide the best (in their categories) protection for both occupants and pedestrians.

Hyundai cars (Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands) received 16 Top Safety Pick+ and Top Safety Pick awards, while Toyota and Lexus received a total of 13 awards. Mazda has the most Top Safety Pick+ awards within a single brand.

Today, pre-sales of the new Toyota Land Cruiser 250 SUV have started in China. The car is offered in four trim levels with designations atypical for Toyota – UN, ALR, ADV and LUX, prices – from 65.3 to 80 thousand dollars. That is, the Land Cruiser 250 turned out to be about 5 thousand dollars more expensive than the larger and more powerful Tank 700 Hi4-T. If we compare the cost of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 with its American Land Cruiser (this is the same model, but they are called differently due to regional characteristics), then the “Chinese” turned out to be 10 thousand dollars more expensive.

The full premiere of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 in China will take place during the Beijing Auto Show, which starts on April 25. Then retail prices will be announced, and they will most likely be slightly lower (the Chinese like to inflate prices at the pre-order stage). And deliveries of finished vehicles will start only in the middle of the year – July 16.

In China, as in the United States, the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 will be available with two design options – with round headlights, reminiscent of the classic Land Cruisers of the 60-70s of the last century, and with more modern rectangular lighting equipment. The dimensions of the car, let us remind you, are 4920 x 1980 x 1860 mm with a wheelbase length of 2850 mm (Land Cruiser Prado 250 has almost grown in size to Land Cruiser 300).

The car is equipped with a digital dashboard and media system with a large screen, JBL acoustics with 14 speakers, three-zone climate control, leather interior (5- or 6-seater), wireless charging for a smartphone.

Like the American Land Cruiser, the Chinese car has only one power plant – a hybrid based on a 2.4-liter T24A-FTS turbo engine, producing 330 hp. All-wheel drive with two locks (interaxle and rear interaxle) is included in the base.

According to Autohome, the official premiere of the new Audi A7L in China (and this model is intended specifically for the Chinese market) will take place on March 1. But the cars are already at dealers, and sellers received two special versions of the car: Black Warrior Edition and RS Racing Edition. The first is in black, the second is in blue-gray, but with a black roof.

All new Audi A7Ls are equipped with matrix headlights, but laser headlights are available for an additional fee in top versions. The interior design of the special versions combines piano lacquer and stainless steel (the pedal assembly is made of it), and the ceiling is black. By the way, sports seats for the Black Warrior Edition and RS Racing Edition are already included in the base. The cars are also equipped with a projection screen, improved adaptive cruise control, Bang & Olufsen acoustics, screens for rear passengers, wireless charging, etc.

The basic version of the Audi A7L will have a 2.0-liter 245-horsepower engine, and the top version will have a 3.0-liter V6 with 340 hp. A car with an initial engine can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, a car in the top version is exclusively Quattro.
