Tesla cameras not activated outside of the US

Tesla again raised the topic of the potential use of its electric vehicles for espionage, saying that cameras on its electric vehicles are not activated in any region outside of North America.

Recently, the Chinese government restricted the use of Tesla electric vehicles by the military, employees of strategic enterprises and government departments, while Elon Musk denied information that the manufacturer’s electric vehicles could be used for espionage.

The Chinese market is the largest automotive market in the world, and the American manufacturer has made great strides in recent years. In a recent social media post, Tesla said the feature only works in the US, but “even in the United States, car owners can decide for themselves whether or not to use the camera system for surveillance. Tesla is equipped with a network security system with the world’s leading security levels to ensure that users’ privacy is protected. ”

Earlier in a virtual forum held in Beijing in March, the company’s founder and CEO Elon Musk highlighted the company’s efforts to protect user privacy. He stated that “Tesla has a very strong incentive to maintain the confidentiality of any information.”

If Tesla used espionage machines in China or anywhere else in any country, we would simply be shut down.
