Tesla autopilot begs for mercy on scooter-laden Vietnamese street

Tesla Autopilot and Full Self-Driving systems will someday be able to cope with the most challenging driving conditions. But for now, Tesla’s autopilot can be stumped.
A recent video posted by the owner of a Tesla Model X shows how the autopilot “gave up” and asked the driver for help in the middle of a scooter-laden Vietnamese street.
In a short video, it is shown how riders on scooters actively overtake and “trim” an electric car that the automatic mode is simply turned off, forcing the driver to take control. The video was filmed in Hoshimiye, a city in the south of Vietnam, better known as Saigon.
