Taking a bath with Samsung’s next flagship tablet
Samsung Electronics is preparing to release its new flagship tablet of the Galaxy Tab S series. And fresh information about this new product has appeared on the network. The authoritative thematic resource SamMobile shared the details with reference to its own sources.
It is reported that users have long asked Samsung to implement water protection in the flagship tablet models. And the Korean manufacturer heeded the requests, providing the Galaxy Tab S9 with an IP67 degree of protection.
With IP67 compliance, it is generally accepted that the device can spend no more than half an hour at a depth of no more than a meter.
This is the next step in the evolution of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Tab series. Samsung has offered several waterproof tablets in the past in the Galaxy Tab Active series, but this feature has been missing from its high-end tablets. Even when Samsung’s foldable smartphones went waterproof, the Galaxy Tab S8 didn’t get water-resistant.
As noted by SamMobile, the water protection of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 may still be cancelled. However, now everything points to the fact that Samsung will release a waterproof Galaxy Tab S9 series. Samsung is not expected to release the Galaxy Tab S9 series before the second half of this year.

Samsung will endow its flagship tablet Galaxy Tab S9 with an even larger battery than the S8 currently has.
The novelty will receive an element with a capacity of 8400-8500 mAh against 8000 mAh for the current model. To be more precise, the nominal capacity is known to be 8160 mAh, but the typical one will be, as usual, higher.
Samsung is also preparing the S9 Plus and S9 Ultra models, but there is no data on their batteries yet. It is quite possible that there will also be strengthening waiting for us there. The new tablets are expected to be introduced in the summer along with the new foldable Galaxy Z.

Lenovo today officially introduced the Lenovo Legion Y900 tablet computer. The list of characteristics says that at the moment this is the most advanced Lenovo device in its category.
The Lenovo Legion Y900, like the Oppo Pad 2 presented today, is built on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The single-chip system works in conjunction with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory.
The highlight of the tablet is a 14.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3000 x 1876 pixels, a maximum brightness of 500 cd / m2, a frame rate of 120 Hz, coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, a PWM frequency of 1920 Hz, and also support for Dolby Vision and HDR 10+.
The front camera of the device is with a 13-megapixel Hynix Hi1339 sensor. Sensors with a resolution of 13 and 5 megapixels are installed in the main camera. The battery capacity was 12,300 mAh, it supports 68 W charging (the tablet charges 80% in 48 minutes).
Lenovo Legion Y900 is made in a metal case with a thickness of 5.85 mm, weight – 735 grams. The tablet received a JBL speaker system, which includes 8 speakers at once. Of course, Dolby Atmos technology is supported.
Also in the configuration is a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E adapters, a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power key, Android 13 OS with ZUI 15 interface. The cost of the novelty has already been announced: for a single version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory asks for $730.

Together with the Find X6 flagships, Oppo also today introduced the Oppo Pad 2 tablet. The novelty is notable for its combination of features and price.
Oppo Pad 2 received an 11.61-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2.8K, a frame rate of 144 Hz. The display provides coverage of 97.4% of the DCI-P3 color space and is characterized by a maximum brightness of 500 cd/sq.m.
The hardware platform is based on MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, supplemented with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory. The front camera has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor, the main camera has a 13-megapixel sensor. The battery capacity is 9510 mAh, 67 W charging is supported (100% tablet charges in just 80 minutes).
Other features of the device include four speakers, support for Dolby Audio and Dolby Vision, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 adapters, and a 5G modem. The thickness of the device is 6.54 mm, weight – 552 grams.
Especially for the Oppo Pad 2, the company introduced a digital pen with support for detecting 4096 degrees of pressure and a keyboard with a touch cursor control panel measuring 8.13 x 4.3 cm.
Prices are as follows: 8/256 GB – $435, 12/256 GB – $495, 12/512 GB – $580.
