SteelSeries unveils Rival 3 Wireless gaming mouse with over 400 hours of battery life

SteelSeries has announced the launch of its new Rival 3 Wireless gaming mouse in Russia, combining affordable price with wireless choice, over 400 hours of battery life and an energy efficient optical sensor.

The Rival 3 Wireless is the first gaming mouse to feature the new SteelSeries TrueMove Air gaming optical sensor. This sensor has the highest energy efficiency among all developed by the company, which will allow the Rival 3 Wireless to work on a single battery charge for about 400 hours. Now gamers will be able to enjoy games without fear that at the most important moment they will have to urgently charge the mouse or replace the batteries.

Rival 3 Wireless

Also responsible for the energy efficiency of the Rival 3 Wireless is the new Quantum 2.0 Wireless technology. Wireless connection to the system using a USB dongle using the 2.4 GHz band allows you to achieve a polling rate of 1000 Hz and reduce latency to 1 ms, which is especially important during tense gaming moments. With the new product, gamers will have complete freedom and comfort of wireless gaming mice, while maintaining the accuracy and responsiveness of their wired “brothers”. And for travel and work in transport, the novelty is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 support.

Another advantage of Quantum 2.0 Wireless technology is the new automatic frequency switching system. It ensures the stability of the wireless connection due to the fact that the mouse and the receiver connected to the system are able to transmit data using both high and low frequencies of the range. Interference can come from nearby Bluetooth devices or mobile phones, but when they appear, the mouse instantly switches to alternative frequencies to maintain a reliable and quality connection.

TrueMove Air optical sensor

TrueMove Air is a sensor with 18,000 CPI sensitivity, 400 IPS maximum speed and up to 40G acceleration, developed with PixArt. It provides excellent wireless performance (2.4GHz or Bluetooth). Like the TrueMove Pro sensor used in the Sensei Ten, the new sensor can track the position of the mouse even when the user lifts it off the playing surface.

Rival 3 Wireless

The Rival 3 Wireless is built with durable polymer for a robust design, and mechanical mouse switches are rated for 60 million clicks. The Rival 3 Wireless is easily adjustable in weight. The user can install either two AAA batteries (total weight 106 g) into the mouse, or, if lightness is more important for him than battery life, only one AAA battery (total weight 95 g). The mouse also has built-in memory for storing up to five profiles, and its settings can be easily changed in the proprietary SteelSeries Engine application.
