SpO2 sensor, NFC, GPS, Alexa support and a larger screen. Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is in many ways better than Mi Band 5

In late spring or early summer, Xiaomi will unveil a new version of its iconic fitness bracelet. Despite the fact that about half a year remains before the release of Mi Band 6, important details about the device have already appeared on the Web.

The new data came from examining the Zepp app code (formerly Amazfit). Judging by it, the Mi Band 6 will have two versions: XMSH16HM and XMSH16HM. The first is equipped with NFC, the second is not. The device will also have a pulse oximeter (SpO2) and an Alexa voice assistant. There is also an indication of a GPS receiver, but it is not yet possible to confirm its presence. But the screen will definitely be larger than that used in Mi Band 5, since the screensavers (three of them are presented below) have a higher resolution.

The software part of the Mi Band 6 will expand greatly. First, the Pomodoro Tracker app will appear, allowing you to view advanced sleep statistics right on the fitness tracker itself. And instead of 11 modes of activity, there will already be 30, including new ones – dancing, zumba, cricket, basketball and kickboxing. Nothing is said about the price of Xiaomi Mi Band 6, but the device is unlikely to be significantly more expensive than the current model at the start of sales.

Despite the fact that the Apple Watch Ultra has been on sale for some time, only now the watch has received one of the important applications.

Now Apple Watch Ultra can be used to the fullest. Oceanic+ diving app now available

Apple today announced the launch of Oceanic+. It is this application that actually turns an Apple watch into a diving computer. Since the watch can be submerged to a depth of 40 meters, this is not just marketing.

Interestingly, Apple did not develop the application itself. Even in the press release, the company says that it was created together with Huish Outdoors, which specializes in diving products.

Huish Outdoors specialists note that one of their main tasks was to make the software intuitive and convenient, since diving computers are usually very specific in this matter.

Oceanic+, among other things, allows you, for example, to plan your dive by specifying time, depth and other parameters in advance. The application is able, based on the input data, to calculate the no-decompression time, an indicator used to determine the time limit for a diver at a certain depth. The planner also takes into account diving conditions, including tides, water temperature, and even up-to-date information from the diving community, such as visibility and current strength.
