SpaceX will help Spanish startup Sateliot launch space base stations into orbit to provide smartphones with satellite communications
Startup Sateliot from Spain intends to use SpaceX to launch base stations into orbit, which will provide mobile network coverage in places where it is impossible to build terrestrial systems or it is difficult and expensive. This year it is planned to launch the first of five satellites.
In 2024, the company plans to place 64 satellites in orbit, and in 2025 – 256 satellites. This is enough to enable 5G NB-IoT text messaging. It seems that there is no talk of voice communication yet.
At the same time, Apple, Verizon, T-Mobile and Qualcomm are already preparing their own versions of satellite communications systems. In some cases, only the transmission of text or danger messages is mentioned, in others, full voice communication.
Sateliot has signed three agreements totaling about $1.1 billion to provide communications services, but it has not yet been revealed who is the partner.
Note that the base stations themselves are quite large, one satellite is enough to provide communication in an area that is three times the size of Texas.

There is almost no such thing in any smartphone with a price of up to $500. Vivo S17 Pro got a TV camera

Vivo has introduced a mid-range smartphone S17 Pro, which stands out from the background of most similar devices and even many more expensive ones with the presence of a camera.
Here it’s a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 sensor with only 2x zoom, but it’s better than nothing. Now even many base models of flagships are completely devoid of a camera, and here we are talking about a phone with a price of $435.
The main camera here relies on a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V sensor, and there is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The smartphone is also equipped with a large 120Hz 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels and a brightness of up to 1300 cd/m2 and PWM with a frequency of 2160 Hz.
The heart is the pre-top SoC Dimensity 8200, there are also 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of flash memory. Of the rest, a 4600 mAh battery with 80-watt charging, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and a thickness of 7.46 mm with a weight of 188 g can be noted.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will grow, and the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus will finally get 120Hz screens. This is a reliable source

iPhone Pro smartphones in the next year’s lineup will grow strongly, and the younger iPhone 17 will finally get 120Hz screens.
Ross Young, an industry analyst and founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, confirmed his own data that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be larger than their predecessors. The former will receive a 6.27-inch display, while the latter will have a 6.86-inch panel. Probably Apple will refer to them as 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively.
The screens will be 120Hz and still have the same Dynamic Island cutout. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models will retain the size of their predecessors and 60Hz screens.
In the iPhone 17 line, older models will receive the same panels as the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, but instead of the Dynamic Island cutout, they will only have a cutout for the front camera, and the Face ID module will be placed completely under the screen. But the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus models will retain Dynamic Island, but will finally get 120-Hz panels.
Through his work, Young has access to information related to the screens, so he often knows more than ordinary insiders. In particular, he talked about 120 Hz screens in the iPhone 12 Pro and 60 Hz screens in the younger devices of the line.
